My dash camera was broken days ago, found that one in Think Assemble which I have brought before. It is not cheap product, I know because I have used it year ago. I love the package full of the things I need to start immediately and it’s durable in.my past experience. The easy control interface and the easy installation is great for someone with no knowledge about some rocket science product. I installed in my car by just plugging the cigarette plug within 5 minutes where I also easily fix the problem I’m putting the rear camera for another 20 minutes, DIY by myself not not garage. The instruction is v detailed while the image quality is up to the standard from my point of view. There is two start up mode: one manual , one auto and I just choose auto and ready to go. Again because the simplicity of the camera which made the camera durablebI guess. Even at night, the camera can capture the video in a reasonable, usable image produced. It takes time to see if it is durable as the products produced by the same manufacturer but I opined it will have no.problem.

The rear camera is lower resolution but serves its purpose for parking and monitoring traffic behind. Connecting to the app via WiFi was straightforward, allowing me to download clips directly to my phone without removing the SD card. This feature saved time when I wanted to check a specific incident. The menu interface on the device itself is somewhat clunky with small buttons, but once set up, you rarely need to touch it. Loop recording works seamlessly, overwriting old files without error. The screen is bright enough to see the view during the day but turns off automatically to avoid distraction. It feels like a reliable set-and-forget system for daily driving security.

First of all, I realise that this is a budget dashcam which is why I’m giving it 4 stars.Getting it positioned correctly on the windscreen was a bit fiddly as achieving a level horizon video took more adjustment and resticking of the transparent film than I’d anticipated. The mount that sticks to the windscreen allows for a little adjustment but it just feels a bit flimsy. I would have preferred a suction cup instead for easy adjustment.You can use the app to download videos from the camera to your phone. The dashcam creates a temporary wifi hotspot which lets you download clips directly but it is quite slow. Alternatively, you can use the supplied micro SD card reader and plug it into a PC or laptop to grab the files straight from the card.One downside is that the videos come in .ts format rather than mp4. Some video players will handle these files, but you may need a third party player to watch them. It is possible to convert them to mp4, but that does require a bit of technical knowledge. I made a simple Windows batch file to handle the conversion from .ts to .mp4.The picture quality is pretty good. There is a choice of 2K or 4K and both look clear with good colour and detail. Configuration has to be done via the mobile app as the camera itself has no menu buttons apart from the power button on the bottom.I haven’t installed the rear camera yet since the wiring needs routing which I haven’t had time to do.The dashcam feels a bit plasticy and cheap but it works quite well. For the price it’s not bad and it will do what you need, particularly the auto capture and locking of videos if it detects a bump or crash.I would recommend it if you want a basic, budget dashcam for peace of mind rather than anything fancy.
