This is a fantastic TV box, (setup is slightly complicated but easy enough for most) as it is an additional box to provide apps not available on our so called “Smart TV” in another room where certain media in particular discovery plus are not available due to browser incompatibilities .The Thomson is more than an upgrade,with a built in speaker, and talk command ability provides easy control of your viewing needs, and it does everything one needs for multimedia requirements with true 4K movies,tons of apps, GOOGLE based access to all Web based media, Kodi,discovery plus,etc.(These are standard on our living room TV)As this is such a good value /price i am looking now to replace the box in our motorhome for great TV access and I would definitely recommend this product.

Overall a great attractive loooking box for the price and sure more people will end up buying this now that the Firestick options are limited to what you can do with them.Easy to operate, if you are familiar with Android OS, you’ll find everything easily. Lots of available standard streaming applications (Netflix, Prime Video, ITVx, Channel 4, 5, YouTube etc and more). Fast WiFi connectivity and no issues with the signal in the room furthest away from the Router.Whilst BBCiPlayer isn’t “Officially” available, it is possible to sideload this fairly easily if you do a simple Google Search to find out how. The only main issue I have is with the “known” problem with Disney+ and it playing jerkily/frame jumping. Even if you have the box set to match frame rate, that doesn’t work with Disney+ (plenty of Google results on that issue, and it’s being worked on for a future software update). I’ve not marked it down for this, as it still works, and there are manual workarounds such as messing with the refresh rate to force 24hz and that does work (but that then breaks it for every other app and have to change it back to Automatic).Remote is comfortable to hold. There isn’t a play/pause button in that sense, just the centre circular button performs both actions.Overall, happy with first impressions and see how this lasts longer term.

This is a good tv box that supports a wide range of apps, however it doesn’t support Tennis TV, which was primarily the reason that I bought it. If this is no issue to you, then it comes highly recommended. It has a decent storage capacity, with plenty of space for multiple apps. It was easy to setup, you just need to login to the play store. It only lost a start due to the lack of Tennis TV support.

I wasn’t really expecting much for the price, but the Thomson Streaming Box 270UK has actually been brilliant. It was easy to set up, updated itself quickly, and the menus are really smooth and simple to navigate. It just feels nice to use, without being slow or clunky like some budget boxes can be.The 4K streaming quality is genuinely very good. Shows and films look sharp and colourful, and it’s handled Netflix, Prime Video and YouTube in 4K with no buffering or stuttering. I also noticed it supports HDR in some apps, which gives a nicer picture on my TV.Wi-Fi has been solid too — even in a room where other devices sometimes drop signal — and I like that it also has the option for Ethernet if I ever want to hard-wire it. The voice search on the remote works well and saves a bit of typing, and the remote itself is comfortable and straightforward.The box is small, tidy, and stays cool, so you can just plug it in and forget it’s even there.Honestly, for the price, this is a brilliant little 4K streaming box. Does everything I need, works smoothly, and no messing about. Very happy with it.

By far the best budget Streaming/Media box you can buy, it runs everything and has access to the full google apps and side load apps you can get. Running Android OS in the background. The Media interface looks like the fire stick, however it’s smoother, it also fully supports Netflix, Prime, Disney+, BBC iPlayer, RTE Player, Virgin Play, VPN’s, Spotify, YouTube and many more, straight out of the box, it also takes USB keys or USB drives for recording shows etc. It also side runs IPTV apps, and has 2GB of Ram, which is better than the FireHD. This is an all round good Android streaming, it even preformed better than my firestick 4k HD. A well recommended Google/Android certified device.

Setup was easy, everything works instantly, it handles a huge m3u lists & Streams 4k channels over Wifi without buffering. I havent used any of the bundled mainstream apps, but the home screen looks very complete.

Very good box.Easy to set upGreat pictureeasy to set up the way you like it and you can customise the remote, which has a handy remote fuction built inBeen using it via my mobile hotspot picked it up very well and gives a better speed than my 4k Think Assemble stick in the same location.Getting fed up with Think Assemble devices heavy on there product pushing and dictating what I can and cannot do on a device.I have purchased the device, I don’t want anybody but myself saying how or what I can or cannot do with it.Feels like you have hired the Think Assemble devices rather than own them these daysI have had Think Assemble tv sticks, cubes ect over the years must have had every version since they come out, but no more.This box is a very good alternative to them and after a months use I will not be going backDo not confuse this with some of the rubbish Android boxes you get it’s a decent bit of kit.Plays apps all wellonly one not available , I can see is the bbc iplayer .but it can be installed separately very easily.Going to get the Thomson stick soon to have a play about with that.

This is the best android box on the market right now, and I’ve tried a lot of them, including Google streamer.It works, is configurable, has an ethernet 1gb port, plays Netflix. It’s all here.The only downside is you have to deal with some pre installed apps, but they are easily removable.

Hardware uitstekend service zo, zo…
Het was even puzzelen maar dan heb je ook wat. Tweede kans product geleverd zonder batterijen voor de afstandsbediening en een ontbrekende handleiding. (Batterijen had ik zelf nog en handleiding gedownload). Na een uurtje installeren een uitstekende en vlot werkende Thomson Stick 140. Fantastisch beeld en geluid van Ziggo en F1 apps.
