Best purchase
I would highly recommend this mattress if you like a very firm mattress and/or suffer with a bad back. We purchased it for our guest room and when I slept in there to try it out I had the best nights sleep and pain free the following morning.
Ordinarily for our bed we would only buy a orthopaedic Sealy mattress but I will be replacing it with one of these for sure. It describes as medium/firm but it is firm. The luxury topper adds a super comfy element to the firmness. It is very deep and extra deep fitted sheets are needed. This review is based on having slept on it for 6 weeks, so as with all mattresses time will tell, but no complaints so far 🙂

Worth every penny!
I initially bought the much more expensive Pocket spring company mattress at £1200 from thinkassemble.co.uk, when it first arrived it looked great and felt wonderful, however after 4-5 months in it began to break apart as some of the springs must of became dislodged, it didn’t feel right after that so I sent it back and went for this mattress instead. It was almost £400 cheaper and in my opinion better made, no squeaky noises when moving around on it and medium firm for us was perfect, not too stiff as some of the reviews on here say. 1 month in and still feels good, highly recommend this one.

i bought this mattress to go with my velvet bed base ,,,its only been a few weeks and my husband and myself love it ,,,we got medium soft , as I read a review saying the medium was abit hard,,,, you do sort of sink in it if you sit on the edge of the bed, but there is no roll when two of us are in the bed, its a dream bed for us and I would go as far as saying im sure its eased my ache in my hip of a night as I don’t turn about as much worth every penny

Pockets are too deep – disappointing
Great looking mattress, and seems very durable. I’d recommend a tall headboard or low base with this as it’s quite thick, also recommend extra deep sheets with it.
Cons: Incredibly heavy to manoeuvre (takes 2 people)
The pockets in the top are really really deep, meaning I’m sinking/folding into these and my mattress is ultimately affecting sleep posture instead of improving it. I can’t say My back is better for having this new mattress, will wish I never took the packaging off. Been sleeping on it a week and it’s not comfortable enough for the price – I’m super disappointed.

Comfort at last!
The mattress is slightly firmer than expected, but It should soften up with use. No regrets there – I want to avoid a mattress which is too soft.
The mattress is quite heavy and Silentnight recommend turning it weekly for the first 3 months. Accordingly, I am disappointed that there are no ‘handles’ on the ends of the mattress.

What a disappointment
I purchased this mattress three weeks ago as I was due to have an operation which would render me bed-bound for weeks afterwards. Well it’s only been three weeks and the mattress has already bowed in the middle, causing me additional back pain on top of the pain from the surgery.
As this was not a cheap product and after reading such positive reviews I was expecting more than this.

Luxury mattress. Very comfortable.
Bought as old mattress was saggy and causing uncomfortable sleep. New one arrived and is fantastic. Only small issue was having to buy new fitted sheets as old mattress was thinner. Absolute luxury to lie on and at last a good noghts sleep.

Mattress Great – Delivery dismal
The mattress is amazing, really comfortable and also good price.
However, the delivery was dismal. We were having it delivered to my son’s recently purchased house which he had not moved into. We were given a delivery date and time between 8am and 6pm or thereabouts, we had to travel for an hour to the house and on three occasions they either did not turn up or it was cancelled after we had arrived. thinkassemble.co.uk use an outside delivery company for this mattress and there is no way of communicating with them and customer support at thinkassemble.co.uk couldn’t help either, very disappointing.

Heavy Weight !!
Disappointed with this mattress for several reasons.
First thing to note it is incredibly HEAVY (75kg+) and was an absolute nightmare to man handle up 2 flights of stairs to get in place in a 2nd floor bedroom.
Also the weight means it is a very difficult (min 2 person) operation to ‘turn’ the mattress as recommended.
It is also a very deep mattress and sits some 34 cm high on the bed frame, which just feels too high.
As regards the mattress quality, it is very firm with little give and provides very good back support, which is to my liking. However, the recesses in the mattress surface, for the pocket, springs are inordinately deep and feel like ‘potholes’ and in my opinion spoil the overall feel of the mattress, it just doesn’t feel ‘right’ as you find yourself adjusting your body’s posture to accommodate these recesses.
So overall I wouldn’t recommend this mattress and would not have bought if I had realised the above, (I bought it online without seeing it first)

BEWARE DELIVERY
delivery states to room of choice, however jobsworth won;t deliver if your stairs have any sort of bend. This is on the small print of the costco website. So the Delivery price (which is included) is essentially to the door. the bed is 73Kg so you will likely have difficulty getting this up stairs yourself. costco customer care totally uninterested in the hardship or any sort of compensation.
As a side note, the bes itself is very comfortable once we paid an external company to help get it to our room.

Not impressed
This mattress is a good depth but that’s all that’s good. The extra deep indentations where the buttons are make it uncomfortable. It’s impossible to lie flat which makes it uncomfortable and I really can’t understand what purpose these deep indentations are supposed to serve. Also I’m only light but it sinks down a lot where I lie, it’s got too much give for a firm mattress. Really not impressed for a mattress at this price. I’ve had many silentnight mattresses in the past and I feel like the quality has severely gone down hill. I would not recommend.

Excellent, high quality comfortable mattress.
I carried out lots of research before buying this mattress online and read loads of reviews. It is extremely well made and comfortable but don’t forget you will need to buy new deeper sheets (at least 35″). thinkassemble.co.uk were by far the cheapest to buy from. I was worried that the delivery would be aborted because of a tricky to navigate landing but the delivery guys were first class and managed it with ease. AIT I think they are called, a credit to thinkassemble.co.uk. The only other thing to highlight is that the new mattress smell can be a little overpowering but after a few days with the window open it soon dispersed. Excellent mattress and service overall and highly recommended.

Fabulous mattress. Brought this mattress two weeks ago and the only complaint is it’s too hard to get out of bed in the morning. Slightly firmer than expected but I very happy with it. Mattress now has handles to turn accordingly. Delivery guys and communication was outstanding. Stop looking at other mattresses and just buy this one, you won’t regret it!

A Mattress worth keeping for long time!
You wouldn’t believe about how complex is Mattress Market now, life was easy with just simple coil/pocket spring mattresses.
Anyways, we have always used Silentnight sprung mattress. We thought it was time to try something new, so I ordered Dormeo from thinkassemble.co.uk which wasn’t too bad just too soft with little support then we tried Emma, which was horrible.
Then we went back to Silentnight, although it was quite expensive on official website around £1300, and at argos it was £800+ but I got in around £570 from thinkassemble.co.uk.
Like every review here says it is deep and heavy, i was prepared for that, actually it really suits our bed which is very low set frame and looks quite good. It felt too soft initially but once you get used to it, you feel comfortable with enough support especially on Medium/Firm. The gel layer stays cool but will know more during summers.
Only drawback in my opinion would be the deep indentation on top, I am not quite sure about the purpose but sometimes you feel like the surface isn’t even and you need to adjust a bit. Not a deal breaker tho lol.

Comes up short ?!
Mattress was filthy and mud/smudges on the handles for mattress. Also the mattress is short, king size ordered but length wise it comes up short so several weeks on waiting for a replacement. Not ideal to have several deliveries during covid. This was already a replacement on a faulty mattress so size is significantly short – odd.

Excellent Mattress
Yes it’s heavy as many other reviews have stated but it does have handles and is superbly comfortable. The 36” deep bottom sheet recommended by thinkassemble.co.uk is not really deep enough once a mattress protector is added, having said that although it doesn’t tuck under the mattress it doesn’t move. Once I’d got used to the depth of the mattress from a visual point the fact that it really doesn’t move once I’m on it and despite this firmness is still supremely comfortable I would definitely recommend this mattress. My sleep is so much better and I am waking without any aches and pains.
