Superb Value – Excellent machine.
Superb coffee machine, easy to use and lots of options for grind setting depending on your preferences or coffee bean you are using. The speed in which it is ready to used is brilliant, 3 seconds!!
You can adjust the heat of your espresso as well very easily. The unit is very easy to navigate.
The steam wand is what sold me on this though, due to its thermojet technology its time to warm the milk is really quick compared to other machines, and works excellent with oat milk as well as regular cows milk
I would definitely recommend this to either a complete coffee novice as it will be a great addition to their kitchen for a long time, or someone who has been using coffee machines for a while like myself.

A great Machine at the Price
My Prior Machine was a De’longhi Prima Donna. To me this is better and a third of the price.
The De’longhi was more automated, with more to go wrong. When it did the spares / service backup was abysmal so it ended up at the local tip. I’d never buy another. The more manual nature of this machine gives greater control over the drink and with less to go wrong, it should last longer. Very happy so far. This has only one boiler, better machines have two but cost much more. You pay for what you get.

A BRILLIANT MACHINE
A brilliant machine.
This is my third bean-to-cup machine but the first Sage, and it’s far better than my previous two other well known brands.
The positives:
1 Well made
2 Fast – it takes about 3 secs to be ready to brew or froth milk.
3 Easy adjustment of grind and quantity of coffee per dose.
4. Excellent finish (silky) for foamed milk.
5 Taste of the finished drink. I didn’t think that there would be such an improvement in the depth of flavours using the same coffee as previously used.
6 Large water tank – fill it once a day.
7 Bonus – single and double wall filters provided. Single wall filter to use with freshly roasted coffee, double wall for vacuum packed (supermarket) coffee. The improvement with the double wall filter was amazing.
The negative:
Whilst it is easy to “knock out” the grounds from the single wall filter, it does tend to stick in the double wall one and needs to be loosened with a knife.

Great barista quality coffee
This machine is perfect if you love non fussy great coffee. It has the right level of manual input which makes the machine enjoyable to use.
If you are looking for a machine that makes a lot of basic pre made drinks get something else . That’s what had and made the move as wanted better coffee

Great little machine
Great little machine. Looks good and is uncomplicated to operate. Instruction manual is online, but easy to locate. Takes a little bit of practice to get into an efficient process workflow, but makes great coffee and extracts the best from beans, both pre-packed and fresh roasted. Fast to heat up (3 seconds) and steams milk very quickly.

Smart looking coffee machine that’s easy (ish) to use with some practice. Definitely an upgrade from the Nespresso but be prepared to spend some time on YouTube learning how to make it all work!

Steam function basically broken
I bought this to replace an older Sage Barista express which was still working but had intermittent faults. Generally speaking this machine is better on all points except one important area, it just stops producing steam part way though a larger jug. I can easily steam enough milk for one coffee but if I’m making enough for two the steam will stop before the milk is up to temperature.
It’s really annoying considering the old machine had no problems with this. I’ve searched and found others with the same problem so tried contacting Sage but got no response, as a result I’m now looking into options for returning the machine as it simply doesn’t do what it’s supposed to.

Great coffee machine
Recently purchased this machine as with the discount came in cheaper than the express impress. Took my time to dial in the correct grind and dose but it makes great coffee. Easy to use and also dispenses hot water for tea. Quick to heat up so no 5 minute waiting time before you start to make your coffee.

Very good coffee machine
Very well made machine. Last 5 to 6 years have used the cheaper basic versions around the £100 mark. I still have them and yes they do the job.. But i wanted to upgrade to include the grinder built in so its tidier on the kitchen work top. This is great, can set the grind time and that discharges direct into the portafilter. One or 2 shot selection, hot water and steam at your disposal. Its fast unlike my older machines. Would buy this again in the future if i had to.

Absolutely love this machine. This is a great first bean to cup machine, lots of gadgets to help us get setup and sorted. I’m sure in the next couple of years we’d look at going one step further but this is fab!
