I’ve been using a Fire Stick for a while now but I’ve moved over to this Roku one and honestly it’s so much better.It’s super quick to use—way faster than my old one which was starting to get really laggy. The main thing I like is that it’s just much simpler to navigate. My Fire Stick felt a bit cluttered with ads and stuff, but this is just clean and easy to get around.Setup was really fast as well, no issues getting it paired up and going. In my opinion it’s just a better bit of kit if you’re looking for something that actually stays snappy. Definitely glad I made the switch. For the price point it has so much like volume control that you pay extra for with the first, plus the button layout is configured better and I’m not pressing the home button all the time instead of pause.

I purchased the HD version for casual use on our bedroom tv that doesn’t get used very often. I wasn’t expecting much but have to admit the Roku is very good. It’s very simple in design, offers all the major entertainment services / apps and even works with Apple airplay. Most impressive though is its speed – so many smart TVs and Dongles promise so much but are almost always underpowered and frustrating to use. The Roku is surprisingly quick and snappy and you can switch between apps quickly without the constant “loading” splash screens. It definitely outperforms the Google TV I had before. Very happy with my purchase and would recommend.

Because my smart tv was old it lost many of the functionalitys and apps it previously had and this roku device basically solved all of them. It has all the streaming apps needed as well as an array of tv channels. One thing that it lacks is freeview channels or a dedicated app for freeview channels however thats not really an issue because most channels like the bbc or itv etc all have dedicated apps which you can download and then live stream. Its truly plug and play and setup is easy you just plug it into your hdmi slot and then it is powered by a usb charger which you can plug into your tv and the way it is set up all you do is turn your tv on and it turns on instantly. The picture quality is also superb as well as sound. The user interface is good and the speed is average when switching between apps on the main home page theres a slight very slight lag but that does not affect the apps itself when using or when watching anything and for 25 pounds its literally the best value for money

This streaming stick is marvelous. Well worth the money. I will probably not renew my sky membership. A little niggle, as another reviewer said, the live tv is all American, but I’m not sure how to alter that. I don’t really understand using a dongle , as the reviewer said. Maybe I will ask in the questions and I might get a more detailed reply. Obviously I can watch live tv through our terrestrial tv apps, but I do miss having a good menu. Apart from that, there are so many apps to download and the picture and sound are brilliant. The streaming quality is perfect on my wi fi. I was told a while ago that because I don’t have full fibre, I wouldn’t be able to have a wi fi streaming system and that it would keep dropping and buffering due to an insufficient wi fi. Well that has proved totally wrong. I took a chance on the Roku streaming stick and it hasn’t dropped or buffered once. It was so easy to set up aswell, the whole thing took less than 10 minutes. I am very happy I found this stick and took a chance on it.

It’s lovely to use, good picture, very few glitches, easy to set up. Great remote.My only problem is I’m in france so I can’t stream BBC, itv, etc. Even with a vpn.

Amazing so far just set it up was easy and quick installing new apps is fast as it’s not installing it as such just adding it to the software it’s so pretty very responsive love the theme and it’s one of the few remotes that can actually control our TV! For example it can control Volume and turn off the TV but with a F.S and sorry for the comparison but the F.S aren’t durable either but it wouldn’t control our TV volume despite how many times we had tried to set it up! Plus no sync issues… As a former F.S owner you may know about the constant sync issues things will move before the sound or the other way around. For example someone will be talking and their mouth will either move too soon or too late compared to the sound and the sync Feature on the F.S is pointless as even if it looks like when the ball bounces on the platform the beep is at the right time it doesn’t work when you press save. Overall if you’re looking for an affordable better version of the F.S and a HD streaming easy to set up stick this is your thing! Connection with the Wi-Fi was so easy took 2 minutes at most and that was with typing our password in the little light at the top of the remote lights up when it connects to the stick and the stick turns on as soon as it’s plugged in the TV!

Not impressed, very slow, user interface is from the early 2000s, doesn’t work in Saudi Arabia as all apps are locked. Screen Mirroring is buggy.
