Good quality, really good sound for such a small CD/Radio player. Roberts are still good at what they do!! It’s also easy to set up and they provide a booklet as well!!! How good is that that, you don’t have to faff about on your phone or on line!!!

I bought this as a replacement for my elderly mother’s CD/radio. Overall we were pleased with it – set up was easy including saving favorite radio stations, and the controls were suitable for a non tech-savvy person. Sound quality for the radio was very good. Sound quality for CD was different – needed to be turned up a lot. Also the CD lid doesn’t open very far making it a bit awkward for someone with arthritic hands to get the CD in/out (and the CD needs to be pressed quite firmly down which makes me a bit worried about how long the CD function will last). The “aerial” was a bit baffling – a cheap curly bit of wire – looks odd especially since the rest of the design is nice & sleek.

I don’t understand why some reviews say that the sound is tinny🥺 because I think the sound is really lovely and rich. I am listening to some beautiful baroque music on CD and I am thrilled with the quality of the sound. I am replacing it with exactly the same Roberts model as the CD section had stopped working but in white, and it looks smart and compact. I am so happy and pleased with it. I love Roberts radios. Just in time for Christmas too🙂.

The sound is below par. The aerial is a curley piece of thin gauge wire. I never managed to follow the instructions for the automatic selection of stations. I returned the set mainly because of the poor sound quality.
