Mr T –
Lightweight, easy to use and long battery life. Range is not bad, it’s limited but that’s what you expect with a PMR446 radio. Perfect for hiking and building sites. I definitely recommend these.

These PMR radios are small and very slim (smaller than my samsung mobile phone). They come with belt clips and have a stubby antenna but will easily fit in a pocket. They are light, feel well built, and are very easy to use. They have voice announcements of ‘on’ status and channel choice and the use of a ‘hidden’ display for transmit/receive status and channel id which makes them robust for use ‘out and about’. The sound quality is good (they also come with earpieces), and the range is as much as you could expect from a licence free radio. The provision of a ‘split’ USB ‘C’ charging cable also means that they can both be charged simultaneously from one charger. Battery life seems good. The simple controls allow on/off volume control, change of channel, emergency call and battery status check. My only gripe is that, to access most of the usual PMR functions found in other units, you need to buy a specific (quite expensive) Retevis programming cable and download their software to a PC to be able to change any internal settings. However, if you only need a set of radios that work well ‘out of the box’, are easy to use and are extremely portable at a low price, then these will fit the bill.

Excellent, got them for car and cycling. They are really good super compact and sound great. Drove 1000km round trip (500km a day) and they last full day driving with stops and all.
Jeffjeffdejeff –
They’re slim and light which is the main reason I bought them – to easily slip them into a pocket or bag.The battery life is surprisingly good. Channels come pre-programmed with ctcss/dcs codes so you’ll want to clear those if you want to communicate with other PMR radios without codes.Specific cable is required (£20) if you wish to do this via software on your PC. Doing it this way also allows you to switch from low (pre configured) to high power output and turn off the annoying voice prompts. The antennas rattle; presumably a coil of wire hitting the inside of the plastic casing. That said, they do the job. Usual line of sight limitations apply regarding range/distance.

Suprisingly good for the price the ones we recived were the o e without a screen i can say they are good quality, light weight, and have a good battery, tested signal and we get 250m to 500m in London in a very built up area with walls that block mobile signal. I made the mistake with their headphone attachment thinking it was same as other walkie talkie or radios important to note 3.5mm standard headphone socket Not like the other ones.
Joselito –
Radio is good and battery life
Nathan Judge –
Returned, poor signal couldnt talk between two cars 100m apart.
Devil –
Battery life is weak. But good range and easy to use hands free, but that mat cause background noise also. Mainly used for cycleing

The range
We use this for our edm event. Even in venues built like a bunker it reached more then 500 meters thru very thick concrete walls. We were impressed

Gut
