I’ve got a NAS (Network Attached Storage) device attached to a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) which allows the NAS to shut down gracefully in the event of a power outage (and power up again when the power returns). Connected to the NAS, I have an external hard disk for additional back up of critical files. This requires mains power via an external DC power supply.The UPS has spare power outlets in the form of IEC C14 sockets. So this unit is exactly what I needed to connect the Hard disk to the UPS. Now both the NAS and the Hard Disk are protected from power outages.It’s a simple item but it does its job well.

I’m happy with this socket, it was exactly what I needed.I don’t want to say anything negative about this because it is fine for my needs, I personally have no complaints, however, for people who want incredible durability, I wouldn’t want to bet on the strenth of the plastic, the build quality is great but the plastic is light.If you aren’t going to abuse it on the road this will be fine for you.Good buy, great price, 100% satisfied.

When you get a UPS it’s a great thing – you can survive power cuts when everything else stops working. Apart from when the UPS doesn’t have regular sockets on it.That’s where this comes in, converting an IEC socket into a regular 3-pin UK plug socket. The length of the cable is just right to keep things tidy and enable good positioning.

Having read previous reviews about the socket end of these extensions being reverse polarity, loose connections, and the wires being stripped to longI decided to check every one of them before use, and they were all found to be just fine.

Exactly what I needed to convert a long power lead that had been routed a long distance and through trunking into a regular plug socked. Didnt expect to find a converter to do it so was really pleased with this and its great value for money.
