I am Realy Impressed withThe Unit its Very Sturdy & Really Compact ( i’ve been using C.B Radios since 1979 ) I have never prior ever seen such a jam packed & multi funtion C.B Radio that is soooooooooooo Small & Neat it’s Nice & Lightweight to !! Really Amazing !!.It’s everything I had wished for / expected & more !!, I had manged to fit it without drilling an holes in My dashboard !!.I Highly Recommend this Unit5 ***** ‘s Top Quality

Very cheap. It’s small, quite sensitve and the controls/mic all work well. The power is selectable by link, although then not UK legal.Only grump is the squelch is not self-adjusting as hinted-at, its fixed levels. It still works fine and isn’t an issue if you have a decent base antenna. I have a Sirio 1/2 wave at 8m high, so no problemo. Mobile, maybe slightly annoying but for the very low price, an otherwise good unit, don’t worry.

I only do reviews if something really good or really bad so the fact they I wrote this should tell you I was impressed. If you need SSB then this is not for you but for UK 40 its fine and normal features are there just in menu format.

Ordered this in October came very quick, today ,29/12/22 I installed it, simple enough, the display not showing all figures so no idea of squelch level or channel I’m on, the size is amazingly small, if the display was ok then no problemUpdate, having ordered another one I thought I would try the old one again, once again digits missing then all of a sudden they all started working, can now see channels and squelch level, not had a chance to listen on it but happy all display is working

Gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis
Als Wiedereinsteiger nach über 20 Jahren habe ich mir dieses kleine Gerätchen gegönnt. Wer die Dimensionen der Mobilgeräte aus den 90er Jahren gewohnt war, wird beim Auspacken ziemlich überrascht sein. Das Funkgerät ist wirklich sehr klein.Das Gerät macht einen sehr robusten und hochwertigen Eindruck, es gibt an der Verarbeitung absolut nichts zu bemängeln. Das Gehäuse besteht aus massivem Metall und dient gleichzeitig als Kühlkörper.Bei meinem Gerät lag die Sendeleistung ab Werk mit rund 3 Watt etwas unterhalb des Solls. In der Praxis macht das eine Watt keinen nennenswerten Unterschied. Wer mit einem Schraubendreher umgehen kann und einen Garantieverlust in Kauf nimmt, kann diesen Schönheitsfehler aber auch binnen weniger Minuten beheben. Die Sendeleistung kann nach dem Öffnen des Gehäuses mit dem mit “4W” beschrifteten Trimmer justiert werden. Ich habe mein Gerät so exakt auf 4W eingestellt.Daneben besteht auch die Möglichkeit, die Sendeleistung durch Umstecken eines Jumpers auf 8W zu verdoppeln (entsprechende Anleitungen sind leicht zu finden), was aber natürlich illegal ist und zum Erlöschen der Betriebserlaubnis führt.Positiv überrascht hat mich der Lautsprecher. Sehr guter, satter, breitbandiger und verzerrungsfreier Klang, einen externen Lautsprecher kann man sich hier getrost sparen.Im Alltag eher unkomfortabel ist der Umstand, dass der Squelch mittels Tastenkombination einzustellen ist, anstatt mit einem Drehknopf. Wenn es dunkel ist, kann man sich hier aufgrund der fehlenden Tastenbeleuchtung zudem auch mal verdrücken. Angesichts des Preises ist dies aber hinnehmbar.Das mitgelieferte Mike ist hinsichtlich Verarbeitung und Anfassqualität auf einem völlig anderen Niveau, als das Funkgerät selbst. Billigstes Plastik mit null Gewicht, fühlt sich an als wäre nichts drinnen, wacklige und schlecht eingepasste PTT-Taste….Funktional ist das Mike jedoch tadellos. Mir wurde bisher von allen Seiten eine einwandfreie und bestens verständliche Sprachqualität bescheinigt. Hier wurde also offensichtlich an der richtigen Stelle gespart, besser ein technisch gutes Mike in einem minderwertigen Gehäuse als umgekehrt.In Summe zu dem Preis also ein tadelloses Gerät, das “out of the box” einwandfrei spielt, was heutzutage selbst bei teuren Markengeräten keinesfalls selbstverständlich ist. Für den günstigen Neu- oder Wiedereinstieg in die Welt des CB-Funks eine klare Empfehlung, sofern man auf SSB verzichten kann.
