After five years and three inflatable tubs we have bought the Trident. It didn’t arrive as quick as first promised, The delivery was flawless and friendly.
The tub is deeper than expected and for those who are height challenged the water level is high. The seat heights are varied, but none are suitable for children. For us it is perfect, the temperature is easily adjusted and constant, the jet flow is either slow and relaxing or fast and massaging. It is quiet and easy to maintain. At £3K we wish we had bought this five years earlier in stead of wasting £1.5K on rubbish inflatables. A lid lifter is essential.

Hot tub itself is amazing value. Seats are comfortable, the only issue is choosing your favourite. I would strongly advise you purchase a cover lifter as I couldn’t see myself lifting and closing it easily without. I did my research over a few years and was surprised at the quality of this for the price. We have used it loads in both sunny weather and at night. Really enjoyed both. Great price for a great item. The company delivering it are so helpful. There was a small bit of damage on delivery, they had a technician out to fix it 2 days later. I strongly recommend this product, so glad we took the plunge!!!

Trident 40 – 5 person tub – excellent piece of kit
OK, only had it a few days (came Monday 20th May as promised) but brings a smile to my face whenever I look at it. Its a surprisingly deep hot tub, really roomy and with just me and the missis, bags or room. Jets took a bit of working out but no issues. Pumps are quiet and unobtrusive. Looks good, sturdy built quality (300kgs unfilled) – takes about 12 hours to fill and get up to temp, then the standard cycle kicks in. So far, havent checked power consumption, probably take a month to get accurate figures but my smart meter isn’t hitting red so far. We bought the foldable lid accessory : well worth it as the whole thing just swings back. Power cable comes out on the left hand side of the tub when looking at the control panel. You need to be aware of that when siting your circuit and RCD etc. Well happy.

Research noise implications & be aware of position
We love having a spa its well insulated and a very enjoyable addition. The mood lights are great at night. We have a relatively small garden 40ft and can hear the buzzing of the pump inside the house , I wish I had researched this more. The installation guys were lovely although didn’t advise there is a ‘natural‘ step flanking two sides of the tub which means we’re stepping into sloping loungers therefore had to empty and start again. Corners of steps are angled very sharply and cut husbands shin solved with a purchase of corner guards. Installation team failed to attach safety straps which should be included on install.

Have been running this hot tub now for almost 6 weeks and what a superb product it is, no issues whatsoever, water has remained crystal clear, I check the ph & alkaline once a week then put a cap full of chlorine in the Hot Tub daily as we have used it daily since installation & still no need to change filter as of yet.
I’d strongly recommend you purchase a lift cover for this Hot Tub if you intend on using it daily as makes things a lot easier.
Excellent purchase, very quiet when running and at a very competitive price, also I’d like to add the two delivery drives were brilliant and very helpful.

Excellent value , easy to use , the hot tub came from a company called Superior Spas in Chesterfield not thinkassemble.co.uk but they were very helpful before delivery was made , the delivery men were excellent and put it into place with minimum fuss and i have rang them a couple of times since then with a few questions and again they couldn’t of been more helpful. All in all a good experience and up to now, bearing in mind i have only had it 5 days, i would recommend this hot tub to anyone.

This is a fabulous hot tub!! It’s not noisy, feels sturdy and has good jets. The lights change colour too which is a lovely feature.
The delivery was prompt and convenient and the guys who delivered and set it up we’re professional, courteous and helpful (even changing the cable so it would reach our outdoor plug).

This is a fabulous hot tub for a very decent price. We did a lot of research and this one was the best. Throughout the entire experience with Platinum Spas they were so helpful and when’s it came to the delivery they went above and beyond to ensure they could get it into our garden. Really really pleased!

Have had it for nearly three months and am so pleased we got it. I was worried that the maintenance would be yet another job to do but it’s not much effort. The delivery and customer care have been great as well.

Great value and performance
Negatives are that there was a slight rattle on one of the pipes which was knocking on the base. Easily solved with a bit of padding. Developed a small leak after initial set up but to be fair the instructions do say to check things after delivery as they can work there way free in transport. I didnt do this so my fault. Only mentioning it to remind people.
Positives are that its easy to use. If direct the air to one of the chairs its really powerfull. Lovely and warm. Nice LEDs. So far its been cheap enoigh to run (only used in summer). Great service from the company. For the price i paid im really happy.

Fabulous hottub for a beginner (plug in and play)
The hottub gets up to 40′ fairly quick but looses temperature fairly quick too. The heater on this model does not heat and bubble at the same time, but we knew this before we bought.
The lid is fantastic and seams solid.
The steps are lethal, not for walking on, for walking into when its dark. Perhaps some glow in the dark strips would suffice.
The tub is easily cleaned and the filter just as easy.
The chemicals supplied ran out in a week but ordering more was easy.
This plug in and play (13amp plug) is very efficient and easy to install. We used an extension cable for external use, easy.
The jets are a bit weak build and had to re-house one of them already, it did simply screw back in, however, meh.

Good hot tub, however was falsely advertised
Although a good hot tub, this was mis-sold. Originally advertised with Balboa controls but arrived with Gecko. I was offered some chemicals – which subsequently never even arrived. After paying £350 for this to be crane lifted into my house I was left stuck between a rock and a hard place on what I could do about the situation.

Perfect. If you’re 5′ tall or shorter
Product and installation were seamless and pleased with the process.
Just slight disappointed with the tubs seating arrangement itself. It seems that designed for 5′ tall people.
If you sit with your bum into seat properly, so the jets are in your back, the headrests will be in the middle of your back.
The corner seat you have to crunch your shoulders in and slide bum 10 inches away from jets to be able to fit under.
I had these issues while I’m 5’10
Wonder if it’s designed for the Asian market and not scalled for western people’s dimensions.

I am very pleased with the product and the price. “Delivered and Installed”, yes it was delivered and installed. However some people may think that installed may include testing, but this was not the case. I do appreciate that filling the tub and testing would take some time. A problem existed with the chemicals supplied. Two different lots were supplied one after the other after queering the usage. One had five different bottles with test sticks supplied, the other two bottles of a chemical solution and chlorine tablets, no test sticks, eventually settling on the latter.
