    Excellent quality
We looked at numerous types of Gazebo before buying this model and now it’s built I feel that we made the best choice. The item is well made and of very good quality. Although construction is straight forward, I would not recommend a diy novice to try it. The instructions are very good, but read every aspect thoroughly before constructing each stage. As suggested by the manufacturers, two people are required at certain stages, particularly the fitting of the legs to the roof. The only aspect not covered within the kit is drainage. I purchased some 40mm Plastic downpipe usually used on sheds etc and this drained the water from the gutters down to ground level.

    Palram Palermo gazebo
When the gazebo arrived, myself and my husband decided we would make a start to assemble. My only criticism would be that the screws, bolts etc would be better if they were labelled bettr, and maybe a more detailed list of instructions. We made sure we had all parts needed, but got confused which screws, etc were which. We put all corresponding bits on a tray and numbered them correctly and made a start. From start to finish it took us 7 hours, but it looks lovely, and we are very pleased with it. At first i thought that the smokey grey polycarbonate roof would be too dark, but it’s not, it shades you from the sun.

    Just love my new gazebo!
After years of parasols, canvas gazebos and various other ‘summer shade creations’ the Palram Palermo is just fabulous. It’s permanent and therefore we don’t need to worry what the weather is doing as it provides shade and protection from the rain. We can even add curtains or nets to protect us further. Really simple to erect and includes all the fittings to secure it to the ground. You just need to have a nice big flat surface prepared in advance. Seems really sturdy and I’m sure we’re going to get loads of use out of this all year round. Think we’ll buy another to cover the bi-fold doors

    Good on the whole
Gazebo arrived quite promptly, one part was damaged but managed to order another fairly easily. Fitters were efficient and friendly. Gazebo itself is great overall. I did buy this particular one as it had gutterings to stop rain dripping over the sides but unfortunately they dont seem to really work as expected. It hasn’t really been tested in the wind yet but the roof panels do shake about a bit, still in situ so far tho. Have to say, it does look very nice and has finished my decking off nicely.

Palram Canopia Palermo 3 x 3 Glazing panels probs.
Most of the assembly went well with very few problems, it was well made and fitted together ok. There were no parts missing and even had some extra nuts and bolts. But I have one criticism which lets down the otherwise good assemby.
The panes of plastic glazing were too thin for the glazing bars supplied, the end result of which is they rattle like mad in any sort of wind and I worry that they might blow out altogether, this noise can be very annoying when the gazebo is close to the house.
I wonder if we shoud have more substatial glazing panels which are a push fit into the glazing bars or packing strips to take up the gap.

    Parlam Parlemo Gazebo
Very pleased with gazebo. High quality.
BUT be prepared. Construction took far longer than anticipated. It took my husband and son two sessions to complete, nearly 6 hours. I also spent at least two hours cutting and putting black tape on the edges of each roof panel ( 16 of them).
Also, beware, the footings for screwing into base are at a 45 degree angle to columns. This caused us issues with the decking which we had strengthened at particular points to support structure. We thought that they would be at right angles. We live on the west coast of Scotland so need it to be well secured.
    Now to enjoy it!

    My new gazebo
I purchased this gazebo after looking on line and in most garden centres over the last 3 months
As a thinkassemble.co.uk customer I received an email showing this aluminium Palermo 3×3 mts was on a hot buy I read all the reviews and decided this was the one
From order to delivery was 5 days it came in one box and after reading the instructions I started to build it was simple as who ever wrote the instructions made it so easy to follow for a anyone to build its looks great covering our hot tub and the best quality and price on the market thanks thinkassemble.co.uk

  8. Gorjam

    Solid Construction
Very pleased with this Gazebo, very well made and relatively easy to assemble with a bit of common sense, managed most on my own, though did need a bit of help when fitting the legs. When it arrived the box had a slight gauge in it which I had’nt noticed as it was on the bottom of the box, as a result some roof panels were damaged but one phone call and within a week they were replaced no problem. overall well pleased and looking forward to many years (summer and winter) sitting enjoying our garden. I would definately recommend this gazebo.

    A Sturdy Gazebo
Before the day of erecting it I started putting small bits together like the feet on the legs and tape to the perspex roof sections. I also put the nuts and bolts into various holes so wouldn’t need to look for them on the day. My brother and I took most of the day to put it together and it was quite straight forward ( don’t forget the hangers for the curtains). This was yesterday in November 2020 it was a nice day but starts to get dark at 4pm, thats when we finished. A really sturdy Gazebo and looks great. 3M square. The only problem we had was that one of the side sections hadn’t had the holes drilled in it, so we had to drill them ourselves.

    Perfect in every way
Swift delivery, well packed, we weren’t able to build immediately due to awaiting the delivery of the hot tub but it was definitely well protected from the elements in the meantime. It was easy to assemble. My husband did all the construction himself until it came to the roof when we had the help of someone more agile. That went together relatively easily. It has now been up for 4 weeks, it has coped with Storm Dudley, Eunice and Franklin and is still in perfect shape so is most definitely well built with quality components. Really glad we bought this and offers the perfect shelter when we are in the hot tub. Would definitely recommend.

    Great Gazebo
Very happy with the gazebo, after reading the previous reviews, we read through the instructions the night before and checked everything was there.
Quite time consuming to put up but the instructions are clear if you pay attention to detail. Took us best part of a day but it was February so the daylight time was pretty short. One piece of advice would be not to over tighten the screws, my husband was over enthusiastic and warped some of the metal. All fine though and doesn’t affect the integrity of the structure.
The gazebo is well made, sturdy and looks great on our patio. Sitting under it right now as I write this review on a dull May day in Glasgow.

  12. Rotto

    Mostly good, but minor issues.
Really pleased with the Palram Palermo. It’s only been erected for 3+ months to date, and I was concerned about the thickness of the roof panels, however it has withstood several gale force winds without any damage. A very sturdy unit – my only criticism would be that the powder coating really isn’t to a very good standard. Be careful when erecting that the bolts aren’t over-tightened. I over-did it at first and distorted the aluminium causing the powder coating to flake off, locally. Taking more care solved that issue and I touched up the coating to prevent further damage. A really good product and good value for money.

Excellent gazebo, well made..delivery not so great
This is a well designed item, with pretty clear instructions. It is supposed to take 3 people 8 hours to construct..I did it on my own in about 5. Not boasting just not as complicated as you would think from their estimated construction time. It arrived damaged but the company dealt with this quite efficiently and I had the replacement part within 5 days…would have been quicker had a weekend not been in the way. I like this gazebo it is well thought out, looks nice, is sturdy without being overweight and was a fun project…it also will survive for many years.

  14. Just Sew Geri

    Well Made and Attractive
Got this at a good price with thinkassemble.co.uk. Very well made and stable if you bolt it down properly and put all the small bolts in the roofing sheets. Ours arrived with some damaged metal parts and missing bolt caps but this was quickly resolved by Palram after a phone call. Very pleased with it now it’s up and it has had a few admiring comments from neighbours. Husband did it mostly on his own, just needed help lifting it onto the legs. We ordered the netting set separately and were concerned when that appeared to be black instead of the advertised grey – they look grey when up though, trust me. All in all a good buy.

  15. Ali Robbo

    Top quality, sturdy construction
Gazebo is top quality. If you’re going to buy this take advice from all the reviewers. Top advice, tape up the roof the day before you want to build it, read the instructions all the way through first, buy silicone And don’t try to put it up on a windy day, it makes the roof take that bit longer. Excluding taping the roof it took me about 4 hours to build then needed another person for the roof which ended up taking 2 hours due to the weather.
Not sure why others struggle to follow the instructions, they are very clear.
Also I had a couple of bolt caps missing pal ram had them with me within a couple of days.

  16. L Tutt

Good looking canopy that offers great shade
Very pleased with overall look of canopy but there are a couple of negatives. The roof panels weren’t all cut correctly so a couple didn’t fit snuggly and were too loose. We had to tape these in place as feared high winds would have ripped them away. Also in assembling the panels they had to be individually taped around all the edges which was the most time consuming and fiddly thing of the whole assembly. We did find though that the specially tinted panels really worked well against the glare of the sun during the extreme hot weather this summer and allowed us to enjoy sitting in the garden under the canopy rather than retreating inside our house. So overall a good product marked down one star for the 2 reasons mentioned above.

  17. Not giving one

    Quality product
Bought this in the summer to shade our hot tub but it’s been fantastic through the autumn on wet days too. I also bought the curtains, which are great and add to the versatility.. Assembly is not difficult once you’ve sorted all the component parts. Took our time and it went together smoothly. Friends have commented on the fine quality and good looks of the gazebo. Very pleased with it

  18. Kencouk

    Great Looking Product.
Great looking product now finished it adds a bit of class to the patio. The unit was easy to assemble by two of us following the comprehensive instructions supplied. I have to say that this is the first time an assembly from out of a box went together like a dream all pieces fitted perfectly and all bolt holes were in line which shows the design & quality of this product, looks like we will have many years enjoyment from it.

  19. Jillybea

    Looks really classy.
I bought this after looking at others costing thousands. I am absolutely delighted with it. The instructions are as clear as a bell and as a 65 year old woman with back problems, I was able to put the whole thing together on my own, bar getting it up onto the legs. The roof went on like a dream. Tremendous value for money. I’m trying to think where I can put another one!

  20. Dr28

    Panels didn’t withstand strong gusts
For a product marketed as a “permanent” gazebo for the UK weather, it’s disappointing that we lost a quarter of the panels on the roof to strong winds within a few days of setting the gazebo up.
