It works
This is a basic telephone. I have dial tone, it rings and a light flashes on incoming calls. I use it as a wall phone in my garage and in case of power loss I can bring it inside for use. It is powered off the local telephone loop. What more could you want for the price. Good value.

My GE corded phone purchased in 1991 delivered thirty years of reliable service before coming to the end of its life last week. I first tried upgrading with a VTech CS6114 DECT 6.0 Cordless Phone but found the item junky and it failed to charge when the handset was placed in its holder. Back to basics, I decided, and purchased this Uvital Landline Telephone which is entirely satisfactory in both function and form. My only complaint is that the ringer is too loud even when set to low. Other than that this item delivers exactly what it promises at a very reasonable price point.
