Bigger is better!
Big… it’s big. Which is what you want from an XL version. The Chef XL comes with a Balloon whisk, K beater, Dough hook, Splash screen and a recipe book.
Oh yes and a box big enough to get a small child in.
It’s great that it’s got the power to mix thick pastry at a slow speed as my last one really struggled at low speed. The high speed is fast, making fluffy egg whites and thick whipped cream with ease. I have also bought the Mincer/sausage maker for the slow speed take off and it’s great at the unit ie weighty enough not to have to worry about the machine moving so your hands are free to handle the sausages.
This has been a great addition to my kitchen and would recommend this or the standard version to anyone. Also the thinkassemble.co.uk price was far better than anywhere else I could find it. I bought the XL for the same price as the standard one.

Kenwood mixer is quality
Excellent mixer, fast, efficient and surprisingly quite. Easy to use for cake mixing and fantastic kneading dough for pizza bases. Feels robust and sturdy with good quality parts. Would recommend. 4 stars as an excellent piece of kitchen equipment, thinkassemble.co.uk offered a good price in comparison but still an expensive investment.

Pretty good Mixer
I got the mixer for bread dough and it works well. For meringues even 4 egg whites its better to use a small electric mixer, takes too long be better if you use more egg whites
It has real stupid function on the speed control when you lower the speed to shutdown it can easily flip to an instant top speed function.
It has a real nice finish on it and easy to clean it.

How did I manage before
How did I manage before, my old Kenwood lasted 34 years and then I was using a basic handheld mixer! Never again! It’s got to be Kenwood all the way!
