Big improvement on my very old Garmin easy to set up and to link the app on my phone. Easy to see and read good clear voice live traffic works well nice unobtrusive size fits nicely in bottom right corner of windscreen where it is legally required.

Arrived on time, charged and set to go, no voice commands, checked instructions, not very clear, but after searching through the various sections stumbled on solution, changed straight line option to fastest route and we were up and running. 1st Sat nav and looks to be easy to use.

In the description it says you can update using WiFi but you actually need to do the first update via a laptop. Which I don’t have so had to return the item.

Didn’t work out of the box. Needed to do a software and map update but that failed and so it insisted I use Garmin Express; this is similarly hopeless and crashes continually on Mac. Luckily I still had my old TomTom and so was able to use that. Customer support have sent some links to user/installation guides. I’ll take it back to Argos as I just don’t have any more time to waste on this untested junk!

Worked OK on first use then showed message saying update of maps and software was required. Did that, assiduously following the guides, but then it would not work. Constantly getting the message ‘Map Data unavailable’ and unable to navigate. After re-setting, the map showed again but was now approximately 200 metres out of alignment and still could not actually find any routes to any locations. After six further attempts at uninstalling and re-installing software plus many hours spent on hold with unanswered calls to Garmin help centre (also via message service), I am left with no clue as to how to resolve this so am returning it to store.

Ich habe dieses Navigationsgerät gekauft, nachdem wir schon jahrelang Garmin-Geräte in unseren Fahrzeugen verwendeten und damit sehr zufrieden waren, aber weil es inzwischen öfter vorkommt, dass zwei Fahrzeuge gleichzeitig, aber auf unterschiedlichen Strecken unterwegs sind, brauchten wir ein weiteres Gerät und ich kann sagen, dass dieses hier meine Erwartungen voll erfüllt hat.Es ähnelt in Bedienung und Darstellung sehr dem bisherigen PKW-Gerät, die Einrichtung war sehr einfach, das Display ist scharf, kontrast- und detailreich. Alle wichtigen Parameter kann man nach Wunsch einstellen, z.B. ob der Reiseverlauf gespeichert wird oder ob man beim Überschreiten des Tempolimits gewarnt werden möchte. Dies kann man für Inner- und Außerorts jeweils getrennt festlegen, ebenso wie die Limits, ab denen gewarnt wird.Die Routenführung wird klar dargestellt, die Ansage ist deutlich und in der Lautstärke regelbar.Updates sind über WLAN möglich, das installierte Kartenmaterial ist nach meinen Erfahrungen, zumindest was unsere Gegend angeht, aber ausreichend aktuell. Nicht vorhandene Straßen oder Phantomkreuzungen habe ich noch nicht feststellen können, weder auf dem Land noch in Großstädten.Kurz gesagt: Das Gerät ist ein angenehmer Beifahrer, der weiß, wo man ist und wo man hinwill und dies dann auch sicher umsetzt.

En “remplacement” d’un GO 910
Bon rapport qualité prix.Insiste trop longtemps sur faites demi tour a du mal a comprendre que je suis tétu.Dans le même cas le vieux GO 910 après 5 “faites demi tours” se met a calculer un autre intinerraire.Utilisé en 2024 sur un aller retour paris Vienne (Autriche) + balades en Autriche un peu en Allemagne, je dirais que c’est un bon GPS, j’ai câble alume cigare info trafic, mon vieux Tomtom GO 910 ne m’a aucunement manqué, je ne regrette pas d’avoir changé de marque, le chantage tomtom de se connecter tous les 10 jours pour pouvoir de nouveau recevoir les sattellites, tomtom non merci je n’achete plus chez vous.Ce petit Garmin fait bien son job la qualité prix est très bien.
