Fantastic item, does everything it says

Road tested this for a 12 hour journey including through central London. Really wasn’t impressed with this! Whilst it may have benefits to lorry drivers, I’m sure. It fails to impress in so many areas for the average LGV driver; The traffic cameras have to be manually added using a laptop and don’t work out of the box. The speed camera alerts are very quiet! The temperature on the Home Screen can’t be set to degree’s c and mph in the settings for UK customers (it’s kph and degrees c, or, mph and degrees f) those are your 2 options. Yes it worked as a sat nav but so does a basic £100 sat nav… It just didn’t wow, and for an over £500 device you need to be wowed! This just didn’t do it. I approached Garmin and their automated response on the issues I faced was very meh and dismissive. 8” screen for the average car/ truck window is just too big too.

Bought for my partner as was recommended by a friend.Easy to use and goes everywhere with him. Lightweight, good sized screen and pretty accurate.

One petty gripe but spending this about off money not too get a carry case is down right cheap. But too my main points. 1 using a 7′ sat nav i found it hard too see the height limits on screen, so in my head a 10′ would make it easier too see this on the display. But unless on my route no local bridge heights, or weight/ width limits on are displayed on screen which i find bloody insane. I created my hgv profile of height length and weight but nope. But only till you turned onto a road with a height issue did it warn you, about a low bridge. 2 major issue is constantly over estimated your arrive time and after each hour added time too your eta. While ever hgv sat nav i owned gave you the max travel time and over each our reduced the eta too the point you could judge weather it was 4 or 5 minutes ever hour you where making up in the last hour you could give an exact eta this adding time you cant. 3 even on the most detailed option i will not display the motorway J number on screen which in the UK i find a bloody joke. Ive bought the most expensive hgv sat nav on offer, and jest restaurants and many other useless options can displayed on screen. But motorway juntions no nope, why would you need that.I wanted a update sat nav with life traffic updates, and i sadly found going top of the range is a waists of time. This set up is for USA truckers and not uk, I will be sticking with my 10 year old snooper 6900.

Comprado para usar con autobus de 13 a 15 metros.De momento, bastante contento con él pero hay que saber configurarlo…el truco está en jugar con el peso. Si pones el peso real del autocar, vas a tener bastantes limitaciones, lugares por los que puedes pasar y que están permitidos para estos vehiculos, pero que al no estar permitido por peso a camiones, también te va a restringir a ti la entrada. Por supuesto siempre hay que tener vista y sentido común.Por lo demás, me gustaría leer notificaciones del movil en la pantalla del gas, pero no es posible o por lo menos no para whatssap.El funcionamiento es fluido, se nota que han mejorado el procesador.A diferencia de su competencia, el tomtom expert, este tiene los radares a través de la aplicación del movil y no se caducan al año.Otra cosa que me ha llamado la atención es que cuando llegas a una retención en autovía o autopista, te indica que carril es el que está atascado, marcándolo en rojo. Esto viene muy bien para anticiparte y ponerte en otro carril, el que mas te convenga.Viene con las zonas de bajas emisiones, lo que me parece un puntazo, tanto par usar con el autocar, como para usar con el vehículo particular.Por último, la pantalla se ve muy bien, brillante y con buena resolución.Como pega, el sonido en llamadas telefónicas no es muy alto.Producto totalmente recomendable para profesionales.

Qualità Garmin, provato solo in auto va molto bene, arrivato due settimane prima della consegna prevista, ottimo imballo, molto soddisfatto.

Fantastic bit of kit the only one negative is it won’t rotate 360 so all controls are at the bottom

Best satnav i use over 8 years

Garmin trucker sat nav is excellent. Never took me wrong yet. Can’t say more than that.
