My dogs are not especially food motivated. But they do love to play with their food, especially the Malinois. This adds a whole new dimension to play and my dogs absolutely love it.We start with a game of chase. This can be done with toy alone, or attached to flirt pole or other pole . If attaching to a pole you may want to think of a quick release method. I often tie on with a half knot so it will separate easily. Once the dog has got the toy we play tug of war. If the human manages to win..amd the malinois often lets me win, then it is back to chase again. The Staffy on the other hand lives it if my son can chase him with the toy.Once the dog lays down to chew at the toy, we remove the treat and let them have it if they need help. I wrap their treats in parcels and leave some paper hanging out so that most of the time the dog can get it out. If they can not, it is important to help them quickly as they absolutely could chew this . It is well made and a great toy, but it is not really made to withstand a determined effort to rip it apart.I do encourage my dogs to bite the fluffy bit, but when you are playing a wild came with the dog leaping and jumping for a toy, accidents happen. The Malinois has bitten through brass when overly excited and wile we have been trying to help her learn to bite without putting ,massive force behind it, she has sliced through many toys in a single bite. She has bitten the lead bit and immediately started tugging. She does drop it when asked but several toys with leads like this have been bitten through before I could,d say ” drop”. This has survived a number of excited chomps.I am very happy with the overall bui,d quality of these toys ( we have one for each dog) and with their durability. I do not expect them to last forever, but they are holding up very well.I am currently looking for some type of squeaky toy that could fit inside this toy, and I would be willing to pay considerably more if they are to offer squeaky option as the staffy loves squeaky toys. The malinois prefers chasing and scent work. Of course it is easy to show her what scent she is looking for and send her to find the toy for some variety in play.I do wish this had a larger opening with velcro so that the dogs could the treats out themselves more easily. My malinois in particular loves ripping open velcro and pulling her treat pouch out of toys. But I will not rate down for this, because I knew it would not have anything like this when I bought it. I would also enjoy a wider pocket which would allow me to get more creative with things to put in it, but again, this is wonderful as it is. Still if anyone from the company reads these reviews… th more varieties you offer the more we buy.I absolutely recommend this as great way to bond with your dog and bring joy to their life.

Larger than I expected, about the size of a softball. My bigger dog, Boxer cross, enjoys this and can get the treat out with a little effort. Just wish she’d bring it back when I chuck it!! 😞My slightly smaller dog, scatty brained whippet cross, she can’t get at it fast enough so doesn’t bother with it.There’s no pockets for the treat, you just pop it in the middle. To look at it you expect its not gonna hold closed but that Velcro is pretty darn strong, enough to give a challenge in opening it.Obviously it will degrade over time but I reckon this would last a few years. The material is what you expect from strong tug toys, neither of them chew. It’s a good quality though.I would prefer a smaller size, perhaps baseball or tennis ball size but it’s good.

Bought this for my dog who loves to play and tear at things, great product, I filled it with an empty bottle & some dried pasta and it keeps his focus. The Tuggi Hide is a really fun and engaging toy – my dog absolutely loves playing with it. It keeps him entertained and is great for bonding time between myself & him.The only downside is that some parts have started to come away after a bit of play, so durability could be improved. Still, it’s a great toy overall, just something to keep in mind.

Wish they had this when my older dogs were pups. My extra large puppers adores this and will play with it for hours. Gets excited when he sees it. Great for prey driven dogs like him.

Well made item, a tad to big for my corgi size dog, more appropriate for a larger dog

My german shepherd 8 month old pup loved it but was too big to fit in her mouth

If you have a dog like mine, who has a toy box full of toys that you bought thinking they’d love them, only to find that they ignore every single one of them and looks at you like you’re mad when you try to get them to play, this clam toy is what you’re looking for!Once they realise the toy holds food and treats they’ll soon go running after it when you throw it! Once caught they then have to use their brain to get through the Velcro to open it and get the treats out, which is great to get their brain working. If you work out how to get them to bring it back to be refilled rather than just look at you until you eventually give in and walk over to do it please let me know, my dog thinks fetch and bring are human tasks, and he’s not changing his mind even for ham.I also attach it onto a flirt pole (well it’s actually a horse lunge but it works really well for us) and use it as a lure toy that he can chase and catch. That way he’s getting exercise and using his brain to work out how to catch it and how to get the food out. So far it’s held up really well to this, I just have to make sure I’ve tied it on tightly so we don’t have it fly over the fence!I like this a lot, the Velcro holds really well compare to other clam toys we’ve had that stop holding together after a couple of uses, the coachi has always closed and held the food well even months later. If it breaks in the future, I’ll defiantly buy another one.

Exactly What I Needed For My GSD Puppy!
Pros:Super durable and sturdy – holds up well to tuggingStretchy bungee handle with comfortable paddingSoft material that’s gentle on puppy teethTreat pocket encourages drive and engagementGreat for interactive training and building play driveFun blue color and perfect size for small to medium dogsExcellent for bite interruption and redirectionCons:Treat pocket can be tricky to find at firstThe Velcro closure could be longer or more secureNot meant to be left out – supervision requiredExactly What I Needed to Build Drive in My GSD Puppy! This Coachi Tuggi Hide is exactly what I was searching for to help build drive in my little German Shepherd pup. The fact that I can tuck treats into the pocket and use it for a tug game? Genius.Let’s talk about that stretchy bungee handle – wow. It adds just the right amount of give and makes it easier on both of us during play. Plus, the padded handle is honestly one of my favorite features. I can play longer without discomfort, and the padding is legit comfortable. It’s super sturdy and ridiculously durable. I know I said “durable” like three times, but seriously—it deserves it. It’s also super soft, which is great for a teething puppy. The treat pocket is a great idea, though I will say it took me a minute to find it at first. Once I did, I noticed the handle actually runs deep into the toy. That’s great for strength, but do make sure you get all the treats out before storing.I also love the blue color, and the size is perfect for tugging and engaging a puppy. One small design tweak I’d suggest? Making the treat pocket a little longer or adjusting that hook-and-loop closure—it’s a bit short for how deep the pocket goes. That said, this toy is a total win. It’s a training tool, not a chew toy, so I don’t leave it out unsupervised. When we use it together, it’s pure gold. My puppy loves it, I love it, and our training sessions are so much more fun now.

    Nice but a bit loose.
Looks good, feel good. The nylon strap is a good addition in the fleece, I used to add some into the ones I did by myself, but be aware the knotw are pretty loose and you can’t tighten them due to the strap. Otherwise, great quality and fun colors.
