I wasn’t expecting much tbh, but as they were so cheap and had pretty good reviews on here and on YouTube, I thought I’d give them a go.We tried these along an old railway line in our village today, which is surrounded by trees, buildings and differing levels of road. Looking on the Garmin Explore App later, the distance we were apart was around 750 metres, and the audio was perfectly clear from both units.This was through thick foliage and behind cottages, etc.Very impressed so far…

Sound quality is great, not too cheap to feel. Range is amazing (I literally walked to the end of the road one night to test it out) great value for money and so easy to use. I use it in a busy nursery setting which is spread over three floors and it’s just perfect

Pair up very well with other brands and having two ways to charge by the stand or by USB C dropped mine a few times and it still works great battery last all day easy to use good connection and build quality the fact you get two is great value for money

Nice build quality and the range was fine but the just weren’t up to the job. The received transmission was never that clear so they weren’t suitable for us. Sent back for a refund.On the plus side they were very cheap and would be ok if you needed them talking to someone 200m away.

These are pre-programmed with licence exempt PMR 446 channels, out of the box they are ready to use. Just plug in the battery to the back and turn the volume up. The other is to change channel that it’ll announce. There are very small numbers around the dial but realistically they are too small to use proper.In the box you get the two handsets with batteries, two wrist straps, two charging docks, and two earphone mic sets.The docks are hardwired to use USB-Type A, no charger adapters are included so you’ll need to supply your own if you want to use the docks. However, the batteries themselves also have a USB-C connection and you can charge them directly from the back. Really nice update as you can use a power bank quite easily with them.Audio is clear on both transmit and receive, and seem to be configured for around 0.5w. You can program these, if you want to setup things like CTCSS, and side buttons.Overall, these are well constructed and are a nice update to the older BF-888S handsets. Very nice for PMR use, and unlocked via programming for regular ham or business lite channel use.
