You’ll need a small screwdriver to open the remote to install its battery if you want to use the little remote to catch photos. Works well. Useful.
PS –
I previously purchased one of the older Think Assemble Basics stands which is much smaller folded away, but the improvement in build quality in this larger stand was instantly apparent to me.There are two extending sections in the legs, on the first setting this was stable and tall enough for the purpose I needed (to record a keyboard exam). The included phone holder is a bit stiff and only just extended to the width of my Samsung phone, but it held it firmly and there was no wobble during the recording.The little remote included works with both iOS and Android, though unless you’re doing distant photos, it isn’t necessary.One tip would be to remove the plate before trying to secure the phone holder, there is a little twisting connector on the reverse side and it’s far easier to spin this connector than it is to try and turn the phone holder onto the tripod itself.There are a couple of spirit level bubbles which helped me to level it. Overall I think this is a good upgrade from the smaller stand and very good value for money.

My son is just getting into photography, he has an old DSLR to play with, but really needed a simple tripod to get started with. This seemed like an excellent choice for a beginner due to its cost.This is clearly always going to be a basic photography tripod, there is no fluid head or anything.The tripod is the 127cm version, so it goes up to an okay height, if a little short. The head has a standard screw mount for attaching the camera to, there is also the bit for locking a video camera in place.The head is not removable, so there is no easy way to upgrade it.The adjustments on the head cover the usual pan and tilt. When panning, there is 5-10° of play before it stiffens up, one of the reasons I would not suggest this for video. There is a small spirit level on one side covering pitch only. There is a quick release mechanism. The controls and quick release are largely plastic, so will likely suffer from reduced durability.The centre pole is stable and holds well without shaking, there is no hook on the bottom to add weight.The legs have three stages, these are locked in place with a quick release mechanism, that works okay, they are a little stiff, and are also plastic. The legs are stable though. The feet are rubber with no spikes, so this will be best on hard surfaces.I have found that this tripod is strong enough to hold DSLRs with shorter lenses. Longer lenses may cause shake or balance problems.The tripod comes with a simple bag that the tripod can be stored and transported in. This bag is basic, but perfectly good.On top of this, a camera mount and Bluetooth shutter button are included. I don’t really use either of these, but they seem okay.I think this would be okay for beginners, but may be outgrown fairly soon, especially the head.

This is a pretty decent tripod for the money (currently comfortably below £20), coming with a Bluetooth remote and a case too.It’s lightweight aluminium, so not really designed for professional gear, but fine for home use. It’ll work fine with a compact camera or phone, though the Bluetooth remote will only work with a phone (iOS or Android). I’ve shown it with each in my pictures.It’s easy to erect, and easy to attach a camera to. It feels plenty sturdy enough for most non-professional users.I tested out the remote control, and it was easy to connect to my phone, following the instructions provided, and it worked fine with the Android Camera application.

I wanted a tripod from a brand I trusted that was lightweight, reasonably priced, and durable enough to be “thrown around” without me having to worry about it too much. This one hits the mark perfectly.What makes it great:Lightweight: It’s very light, making it easy to carry around in the included storage bag. Despite being lightweight, the legs feel sturdy and the lockers keep it stable even when fully extended to its full 60-inch height.Easy to Use: The head i attache my device to is smooth moving and makes it simple to switch between horizontal and vertical shots. Whether I’m using my phone or my digital camera, it seems secure.Bonus Remote: The detachable wireless remote is a nice addition, although I have not yet tried it.Value: For the price, the build quality is solid. It’s the perfect tripod for daily use or travel.If you need a no-nonsense, portable tripod that gets the job done without breaking the bank, I recommend this one.

For the price, you really can’t complain. Obviously all of the plates and other bits are plastic, but if nothing else, this saves on weight. I’d be happy putting my smaller DSLR on this for a few late night shots. It seems stable enough and the legs fold out easily and nicely. It’s easy to sling over your shoulder with the included bag and weighs remarkably little.The included remote switch is lovely addition and is easily connected over bluetooth. Instant connection on my iphone. A very versatile little setup in my eyes!

Excellent rapport qualité/prix
Ce trépied est vraiment de bonne qualité pour un prix très raisonnable.Il inspire confiance et semble fait pour durer. Livré dans une hausse de rangement, il est suffisamment stable et robuste pour supporter un appareil reflex assez lourd. Questo treppiede rientra perfettamente in quella categoria di accessori essenziali che puntano alla funzionalità prima di tutto. Con una spesa contenuta ci si ritrova tra le mani un set completo, con cavalletto, supporto per smartphone, telecomando Bluetooth e borsa per il trasporto, senza dover integrare nulla a parte. Per un utilizzo quotidiano o saltuario è una soluzione pratica e immediata. I materiali sono nella media della fascia di prezzo, ma trasmettono una sensazione di solidità più che dignitosa. Avendo a disposizione anche cavalletti di marchi ben più noti, la rigidità complessiva e la stabilità non risultano affatto inferiori nell’uso reale, soprattutto con smartphone o fotocamere leggere. Una volta aperto e regolato, resta stabile e non dà l’idea di essere fragile o approssimativo.La regolazione dell’altezza è semplice e lineare, senza giochi eccessivi, e il formato da 127 cm copre bene la maggior parte delle situazioni, dalle riprese da tavolo a quelle in piedi. Il telecomando di scatto si configura in pochi secondi e su iPhone 17 Pro Max il collegamento è stato immediato. Nel complesso è un accessorio onesto, funzionale e ben bilanciato per quello che costa, adatto a chi cerca un treppiede versatile per foto, video o contenuti social senza voler investire cifre più alte per soluzioni professionali.
