There is no delay between the phone and the media display if using for sat nav and set up is super easy. So I’ve given this item a 1 star simply because it keeps loosing signal without warning. It has a little LED light but there is no indication what thease different colours mean. This is an item you need to work all the time otherwise what is the point of it? 1 star doesn’t do the job 5 stars does what its supposed to. This item doesn’t. Which is a real shame because its a nice looking and very small unit.It was easy to connect and does Auto connect as soon as you get into the car, but this is where it got a bit annoying because I’d get about 5 notifications that it had connected presumably because it was connecting then dropping out, it would work for a short time then just disconnect as ive said for no reason. When it was connected it worked great but again I can’t have something that I have no confidence if it will or won’t work when I need it most ie navigating me. Yesterday I was going to Bicester village and it lost signal 5 minutes into the journey and didn’t re connect the whole journey some hour and 10 minutes later so I had to use my in car sat nav. If they could sort the loss of signal issue this would be a lovely bit of kit.

Runs hot, really hot. Every now and then it throws CarPlay off to a black screen, generally it’s fine. Slight lag on changing tracks etc, that’s to be expected.Otherwise it’s fine. I’d recommend it it’s cheap and works fine the majority of the time.Used in in 73 plate Kia Xceed (no wireless CarPlay )

Android phone user.Easy usb fit and a few steps and it connects. However the next trick is to get it to connect to your phone .You need to have your phone match the WiFi connection so if you use a VPN it won’t connect. If you have it plugged in but don’t want to use your phone will “cliche” every 30 secs or so and your screen will constantly drop to the connection selection screen.It doesn’t always connect first time and sometimes needs selecting five or six times.But once connected I’ve not lost connection.If you don’t want a wire and want to use it ever single time you are in the car, it does what it says. But you’ll be annoyed every day for a few minutes at the start of your journey.
