While it’s low profile, its width still completely covers the second socket on a standard UK double outlet. So, you gain three plugs but lose one, for a net gain of only two. It’s not as efficient as I’d hoped if you need to maximise every outlet.

This 13A 3 plug power adapter is a brilliant little find. Its compact and cable free design keeps everything neat and tidy especially in tight spaces like my kitchen worktop. Despite its small size it feels solid and well made and the BS 1363-3 certification gives peace of mind it’s been safety certified. All three sockets hold plugs securely with no wobble or movement and there is no noticeable heat even when powering multiple devices. It’s perfect for adding extra outlets without the clutter of extension leads.

Handy Little Adapter That Keeps Things TidyThis compact 3-gang adapter is a really useful addition for spots where I need a few extra sockets without adding cable clutter. It plugs straight in, feels sturdy, and sits neatly against the wall. For the price, it does exactly what I need and keeps things organised.

Although this sits very well into one half of a double socket, you can’t easily use the second wall socket, mostly as the wire from the second plug cannot fit over the top of the adapter. The only way it would work is if you had one of those where the wire comes out from the top of the plug. Either that, or if it has a very, very thin wire that can bend to 90 degrees coming out of the plug.This adapter would be ideal to use with a single socket, where the second socket wouldn’t be an issue. As it is, I now have 3 useable sockets where there were two, but it’s not as much of an improvement as I’d hoped. If this adapter had been the other way around, where the extra sockets were above the original wall socket, it would have worked much better.Overall, for me it’s been a bit of a disappointment, but for the price it’s worth a try, especially to use with a single wall socket.

I like the fact it keeps the second double wall socket free for another device. The adapter is fitted with a 13 amp fuse. You just have to remember that the maximum for all 3 adapter sockets is 13 amps.
