We had the band 6 before and these are a definite improvement. Far more reliable with both recording activities and connecting to our phones. Other aspects other than the excellent activity recording that we find particularly useful is the notification and the text of WhatsApp and text messages and phone calls on the watch. Some mention the fact that the device does not have a GPS but this is not really a factor as it uses your phones GPS, assuming you carry it with you. GPS uses too much power on a watch. The battery lasts at least a week even with all the extra recording stuff active. Shaving the hair from your wrist where the watch sits, if you’re are a more hirsute person, like me, certainly helps with data recording accuracy.For a future version, NFC and link to my Google wallet for payments would be handy.

I purchased this for my son, yes he’d probably have prefered a bigger brand smartwatch, but given it’s probably going to get left in a changing room or broken, this seemed like the better buy.I have to say I’ve been impressed. It’s a nice size (not too bulky), the screen is super-bright and readable even in direct sunlight, the battery lasts well over a fortnight, and the tracking options are better than some £200+ smartwatches I’ve owned myself. It tracks swimming, heart rate, and sleep quite reliably, with plenty of sport and workout modes, pretty impressive for this price range.It feels solid but not premium, and I have no complaints about the watch hardware at all. In fact my only criticism would be that the accompanying app feels a bit clunky and isn’t as easy to navigate as the bigger names in fitness tracking. However, it connects well with both an Android phone and an iPad, and all the features you’d expect are there.

I’ve been a loyal Fitbit user for years, but after forgetting to take it off before a sea swim (again!) and seeing the price of the new models, I decided to try another brand. I’m so glad I chose Xiaomi! This tracker does everything I need — the app is easy to use, the battery life is excellent, and overall it’s fantastic value. Honestly, I can’t find a single fault. If only I could find a watch face I like that shows the time, step count, and date all together, life would be perfect!

Excellent display and fitness app the sleep, exercise and step trackers are awesome. It is very smart looking aswell and syncs messages and data perfectly. The battery life is excellent considering the amount of transferring and storage, and is seamless in the water when swimming. Nice size fits wrist very well and is easy to use and functions excellent.

This is my first Mi band and it does not disappoint. Has all the features I need plus more. Battery life seems great so far with it dropping about 10% per 24 hours with heart rate monitoring on smart and the same for every minute plus the REM sleep tracking enabled. The screen is great quality and really responsive the bezels are also symmetrical which is very nice and needed on something you see every day in my opinion. The alarms work perfectly and actually wake me up which trust me is an impressive feat. Seems to be a strong vibration regardless of the setting selected. Sleep tracking is very accurate in my case but I assume it varies per person like everything else. Honestly I have purchased fitness trackers for over 5 times the price that I payed for this one and they were terrible in comparison. I barely ever leave reviews but I feel that this product really deserves it.
