Why did you choose this product over others?:Excellent value highly portable transceiver. Ideal entry level ham. Yes there are better sets out there but not at this price point. I have upgraded the antenna since purchasing but not strictly speaking necessary. I’m very pleased with it.

I mainly use this for listening to all manner of communications and I have to say, for £31, it’s an absolute steal.The build quality and design are excellent. Battery life is amazing, and its sound output is outstanding for its size.I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to get involved in the hobby. Have fun!

WHAT A FANTASTIC RADIOThe radio is very high quality as is the super sized display showing all the info you could want including monitoring a channel as well as using oneThe power is adjustable but from the box its set to its highest setting in the kit they include 2 antennas one is around 15 inches long which is my prefured one and one is around 10 inches both flexableAlso in the set is a mini disc with the operating software and channel map ect and they even include the adapter to patch from the radio to your pc to upload channels settings ectThis is the most comprehensive easy to use kit i have ever bought and i have been using ham and cb radio for almost 50 yearsThe range is superb and radio to radio i have had 6 miles upto yet but have no doubt they can do more with the correct set upthe radio has far too many features to list in a review but if your in the market for a new radio you would be hard pressed to beat this kitThe battery is very unusual in as much as it charges via usb c something i find a fantasic upgrade because you can top it up from a powerbank ect VERY VERY HIGHLY RECOMENDED

This is a fantastic and powerful transiver radio the sound quality is the best out of many that I’ve bought, I live on the western coast of the UK and I was talking to someone in Douglas , very easy to program with many functions and the reception is clear. Definitely recommend, after all it’s a rebranded baofeng.So if you are looking for a small powerful radio you definitely won’t be disappointed in my view.
