Easy to setup. Do not link to the phone via settings, but via the App. The only issue I had was with my phone, asfter an iOS update, I had to re-connect the device, this was simple.

I really wanted this to work as i ‘am a big fan of Tom TomWell as the principle of how it should work is perfect but it kept disconnectingIt only picked up 1 of my local cameras.The one it did pick up the warning sound and the beeps lasted for about 2 seconds.This item is a waste of time it does not pick up most camerasThe software is a load of rubbish half the time it doesn’t workI will stick to my Tom Tom Go

Very happy with the TomTom Road Alert Assistant unit. It has a compact, neat design that doesn’t clutter the dashboard and looks smart in the car.The unit does the job perfectly, giving clear and timely alerts while driving. Everything pairs easily and just works as it should, no hiccups so far.Installation is quick and straightforward, and it’s very easy to use from the start, even if you’re not particularly tech savvy. Yes it works when it connects, sometimes it flashes to say it has but it’s connected to Bluetooth not the Tom Tom app.

I drive about 5 routes regularly and so I don’t need satnav, but do need to be warned as here in Surrey, the home of Thames Water, we must have the largest collection of temporary traffic lights ever!Unfortunately:1. The Tom warnings come too late (I’m actually joining the traffic queue as the light/beep goes on).2. You must have the Tom Tom App running on your phone and connected to Tom.3. If you’ve started Tom Tom then it’s easier to mirror to your car’s infotainment system with the push of a button. Then you can see the road congestion, etc (for FREE).4. With Tomtom running mirrored, then it can’t also connect to Tom. It’s one or the other.5. I’ve returned back to Android Auto displaying all traffic and cameras on Google Maps. £69 Tom is in the drawer……..

Great so far! Covered about 1,000 miles with it since I got it early in the week. Bought it out of curiosity more than essential but it’s keeping a place in the car. So far it has detected every bit of roadworks, slow downs, speed cameras and mobile cameras I’ve come across on my travels so does exactly what’s intended!

Despite the mixed reviews I decided to try it for myself and it is hugely disappointing.The speed cameras only detect for the old style and not ones that face in both directions. Quite a few speed limits are inaccurate even though they have been in place for several months. The idea is good but in practice it doesn’t work.

Il n’y a rien de plus simple, et c’est parfait !
Excellent. On entre simplement dans la voiture et Tom se réveille automatiquement. Les signalements sont bons, pour l’instant il n’a pas raté de radars sur mes itinéraires en Alsace. Les signaux sonores et visuels sont bien calibrés pour ne pas les rater, sans pour autant réveiller tous les passagers. Et en cas de besoin de signalement, il suffit de faire une pression courte pour un radar, et une pression longue pour un danger. Les ralentissements sont signalés automatiquement. On peut également signaler un signalement qui n’est plus valable via un second bouton.Bref c’est ultra simple, ça ne distrait pas le conducteur, mais ça permet d’être alerté et de signaler sans jamais quitter la route des yeux.Au volant, les produits les plus simples sont les meilleurs.Et pour ceux qui ont eu des soucis, je présume que pour la plupart il s’agit d’un mauvais paramétrage du téléphone. Pour que Tom se réveille automatiquement et qu’il puisse bien communiquer avec l’App, il faut bien veiller à lui octroyer les autorisations nécessaires sur le téléphone. Tout est bien sûr indiqué pas à pas à la première utilisation.

Premesso che ho il prodotto da poche settimane, TOM di TOMTOM è un valido alleato della guida di tutti i giorni, utile soprattutto per ricevere gli avvisi in modo semplice ed efficace (autovelox, tutor, pericoli, traffico intenso).Per l’utilizzo di TOM è necessario installare l’applicazione TomTom e associare il prodotto a essa. L’associazione è semplice e immediata: basta entrare nelle impostazioni e scorrere il menù, in basso troverete la sezione “Dispositivi”; basterà entrare nella voce “Tom” e procedere all’associazione.TOM sfrutta il GPS del telefono e le mappe di TomTom per individuare i punti critici, sia con l’avviso sonoro che visivo (colore verde: connesso; colore blu: autovelox/tutor; colore giallo: pericolo generico; colore rosso: blocco del traffico). Gli avvisi sonori e luminosi possono essere rimossi in base alle proprie esigenze.Si fissa con adesivo e basetta magnetica e si ricarica periodicamente tramite USB C. La casa dichiara 1 mese di durata. Per quanto mi riguarda, dopo circa un mese di utilizzo stimo che la batteria possa durare circa 2/3 settimaneme. Il prodotto è compatto: si tratta di un quadrato di 5 cm di lato.Al momento dell’ingresso in auto TOM emette un avviso sonoro e luminoso per fare comprendere che si è connesso all’applicazione.Per capire se il prodotto è connesso, è possibile attivare una spia luminosa verde che si accende ogni 10 secondi.Al momento sono estremamente contento del prodotto.Pregi:1 Con una cifra contenuta si ha un efficace segnale sonoro e acustico degli avvisi più importanti, utile nella guida di tutti i giorni in cui non è necessario usare il navigatore;2 Non è necessario pagare abbonamenti;3 Il prodotto è compatto, circa 5 cm per lato, per questo è semplice collocarlo un auto;4 Si ricarica facilmente;5 è un prodotto molto utile per segnalare nuovi autovelox o pericoli imminenti sulla strada, basta premere il pulsante centrale (con pressione leggera si segnala lautovelox, con pressione di 2 secondi si segnala un pericolo).Difetti:1 Il segnale sonoro al momento è singolo mentre sarebbe utile avere un avviso doppio o triplo in prossimità del pericolo;2 L’avviso sonoro è modificabile ma avrei preferito che fosse aumentabile ancora di più; anche l’avviso luminoso di giorno, soprattutto se assolato e in certi casi, è a volte appena visibile;3 Sarebbe utile avere una piccola luce led per segnalare la connessione al telefono in sostituzione della luce intermittente verde (che lampeggia ogni 10 secondi).
