Genuine part and purchased due to swapping motorcycles and I left the original cable on my old bike. When wiring in, just if useful. Do not just connect directly to the battery! it SHOULD be a fused feed. To avoid messing my bikes wiring up, my OPTIMATE charger lead has a fuse within it. Therefore I soldered into this charger lead, just beyond the fuse to ensure it SHARES this fused connection. This way when swapping / changing motorbikes, you can easily swap the charger lead, complete with Tom Tom lead without any wiring alteration to the bikes original loom. Hope useful!, just an idea! Thanks

I bought this to power a TomTom 550 on a RAM mount. The back of the box doesn’t list the 550, but it works perfectly — firm connection, no flicker, or drop-outs even on rough roads so quite stable. On the RAM setup the cradle has a short pigtail with a 2-pin male connector. This battery cable plugs into that pigtail (it doesn’t go directly into the cradle). The fit is clean and the cable feels sturdy; length is just right for routing without coils dangling. No issues in wet weather so far.Tip: Route the cable under the mount, add a small drip loop, and leave enough slack for full lock-to-lock handlebar turns. Tuck the join (pigtail ↔ battery cable) somewhere sheltered and secure it with a tie — less strain, less water exposure.Bottom line: Simple cable that does the job — and yes, it powers the TomTom 550 even if the packaging doesn’t say so.My Photos:• Back of box (550 not listed)• Close-up of the 2-pin connector – female side.• The pigtail-to-battery-cable join on the RAM mount

Needed this for my bike sat nav so I could put it in my car. It’s expensive for what it is but it does its job and sticks well. You get the mount, car charger, charge lead and a stick on disc.
