This is an original TomTom accessory, is good value compared with some other sellers and works well. Bought as a spare for a TomTom Start 60, for which you have to use the additional micro usb adapter supplied with it. The lead is the same length as the original which came with the sat nav at about 1.5 metres including the usb plugs on either end (full size USB and mini USB – the separate micro USB adapter fits onto the mini USB plug). ACCORDING TO THE BOX in which it comes, this charger is compatible with the following TomToms as well as “MP3 players, mobile phones and more”: “Start series; ONE New Edition; ONE 3rd Edition; ONE 30 series; ONE IQ Routes Edition; ONE XL; XL series; XXL series; Via Series; GO Series numbers 20, 30, 40, 50, 800, 1000”; BUT I note from a few other reviews that a few TomTom ONE and XL Live IQ owners have had problems. Hope all this helps someone, but please don’t blame me if it doesn’t fit your kit, I am only the messenger!!

I have had 2 cheap chargers fail on me at critical points – the mini USB bit that plug sinto the TomTom detaches from the wires.At approx £10 this is much more expensive than the cheap ones at £2-£3 but you get what you pay for. The quality of this wire is noticeably better than the cheaper ones.For your information – you get a piece that fits into your cigarette lighter. You then get a USB wire which plugs into the cigarette lighter and the TomTom – it is detachable so you can use it on a PC. Finally, the wire is a mini USB(which is what fits on my TomTom) but it also comes with an adapter for micro USB which is what you get on a lot of mobile phones so you can use it to charge your phone when not charging the TomTom.The only downsides I can think of compared to other charges I have sued is 1) this has a straight wire whereas some others have ‘curly’ wires which stretch as you need them – whereas this wire is quite long 2) I would personally have preferred the wire to be fixed to the cigarette lighter bit rather thand etachable as its one more bit to worry about going misisng when the wire is not in use.Overall though its a high quality product – don’t bother risking it with a cheap £2 charger because they will fall apart after a few uses.

I first bought one of these for my daughter after the USB port in her car stopped working. It did the job and effectively provided her with an extra USB port. Having recently bought a dash cam I found that plugging it into a USB port failed to keep it sufficiently charged due to it only being 5V. I bought this so that I could plug it into the power socket and keep my Nextbase dash cam and Tom Tom sat nav simultaneously charged. It works perfectly.

The charger cable that came with the original product got damaged through normal use! A replacement from Halfords was prohibitively expensive so I tried to use a generic phone charger but it did not work well, in that it would not fully charge the battery, or, the satnav would run out of power whilst in use, even though it was connected to the car battery through the charger. This one works really well .. charges the battery properly. I hope the cable quality is better than the original one I got with the product. The price is also reasonable.
