I have sat nav installed in my car but prefer TomTom. I do not have to look down at the car screen in the console. I can keep my eyes on the road and glance at the TomTom. The new features are fantastic. The screen is large and very clear. I can plan my route on my computer, then transfer all of the paces I wish to visit into “my places”. I love this kit.

It’s a great sat nav, don’t understand the bad reviews.. I love it. Perfect upgrade from my old TomTom. Great connection, can be connected to my phone. Easy to use, even though it has extra functions. Bigger screen than my previous 5inch one, but not too big. Perfect size.

I bought a model that had been previously returned by someone but it clearly hasn’t been used. I wondered why. But then I tried to mount it on my windscreen and realised. It’s huge and far too big to go on a normal car windscreen because it blocks your view and frankly would be dangerous. But it’s still an excellent device and amazing value for money. So how did we get over the size problem? We mounted it on our centre console. We can still use it and see the display and of course it reads out instructions so you don’t need to look at it much when driving. I particularly like that it tells me the speed limit of the road I’m on. This is particularly useful when driving abroad. We used it to drive from Santander to Marbella and it was excellent. So the only reason I’ve given it four stars instead of five is because of the size which may actually be a little unfair. After all they make the same device with a smaller screen which I could have chosen.

Experience reliable and accurate satellite performance across Singapore and Malaysia. Tomtom signal remains robust, even while driving through tunnels.Perfect for road trip.It would be perfect if Tomtom can update the map to include private residential like Condo addresses.

I’ve owned TomTom Satnav’s for years. This purchase was to replace an older one which no longer has map updates. I have waited a few weeks before reviewing and ave used it on a few long trips as well as shorter trips. The maps are clear and I especially like the indications for turns and speed cameras which is different from my previous one. I didn’t think I would like these, but they really are good. What annoys me is my last TomTom had a sim card. This card stopped working and had to be tethered to my phone via Bluetooth. This worked ok. The new TomTom Go Superior has to be manually connected to my phone’s Bluetooth every single time. This is very tedious. It also brings a warning up on the screen that has to be acknowledged even after the connection has been made. Like the old one, it suddenly welcomes me to voice control, even when I don’t use it. This again is tedious and requires driver input. I have seen reviews that state some of the routing is questionable and I do have to agree. Obviously, without knowing traffic conditions, it’s hard to criticise but on known journeys that I make regularly, the satnav journey has been questionable. Speed camera and traffic data (once Bluetooth is connected) works really well and lane directions are great. Everyone tells me to use Google Maps on my phone but I still rather a physical satnav. Looking at other satnavs on the market, this one looks as good as it gets. Is it worth the price? Probably not. I would expect better especially considering TomTom have been doing satnavs for years. They should be better than this. One more gripe. It comes with lots of maps, most of which I will never use, but it annoys me that it requires me to delete maps so the UK map will update as there is insufficient memory. A poor bit of kit that works great, but is badly flawed.

This was very expensive, but I didn’t mind. It seemed great, with the glass screen, a real upgrade. But it never would connect and so couldn’t do any updates. I had to re enter all my existing Tomtom addresses manually. It would send me to a completely different road, half a mile from the destination, just saying I was there, but it hadn’t completed the route. And then, at 5am, in the morning of a funeral 200 miles away – it wouldn’t switch on at all.Luckily, I had kept my old satnav in the glove box. This satnav is a disaster and I have returned it. I am still waiting for my refund.I would give zero stars if I could.

Traag, trager, traagst

Good navigator BUT awful support from TomTom which can cause you additional costs.
The good:I purchased this as an upgrade for an older Garmin device used in my car. in particular due to good geographical coverage and speedcam warnings. Compared to my Garmin its a lot easier to find destinations, especially due to internet connectivity through connected phone. The display is large and clear with good user interface. It operates on battery also, even though I haven’t tested for how long it lasts. The included suction cup window mount works great and can stay in place, since GPS is connected to it using magnetic socket. The VERY bad. This product was purchased as NEW from thinkassemble.co.uk. It was sold with one year premium subscription services. HOWEVER , after 3 months I got a warning that my subscription is ending. This is where everything bad starts.Because I needed the premium services, I went to TomTom web site and purchased a subscription. However, the subscription did not activate.I contacted TomTom to get help and they said I hadn’t connected my subscription to my device. They fixed that somehow….But they also said that the first use of the device was 9 months prior to my purchase on thinkassemble.co.uk.So I tried to look at my web account on TomToms website, and discovered that the product tab was giving me an error message. in short it stated that due to a problem, it couldn’t display my products. This is of course the main reason I couldn’t associate subscription with device.Long story short. After having many many conversations with TomTom and thinkassemble.co.uk, my product is still not visible on TomTom account preventing further subscription purchased in the future. I never got the included 12 month premium subscription (only 3 months). I got an additional 40$ cost for a subscription that was supposed to be included.Of course I also contacted thinkassemble.co.uk asking why TomTom claims that my device had first use 2023-09-22 when I purchased it as NEW on thinkassemble.co.uk (from thinkassemble.co.uk) 2024-06-11……Did I get any help from thinkassemble.co.uk to resolve this. No….. So it probably also means warranty is shorter than expected.I do not recommend buying this product from thinkassemble.co.uk, in case you run into similar issue.Neither TomTom nor thinkassemble.co.uk support will help you if you run into the same issues

Another Great Tom Tom
After using Tom tom for over 20 yrs, I can say that this unit works exceptionally well as expected. The 7″ size makes it just a little easier to read compared to past units.Turning arrow indicators are a good addition. All camera indicators are a must have. Fuel prices are good information at a glance at anytime. Overall improvement on older unitsJust wonder why we can’t purchase Tom Tom’s from major retailers in Australia.Had to buy from UK through thinkassemble.co.uk which was a flawless purchase which only took a few days. One might have expected that this unit might have included hands free calling also, which may be handy when hiring a vehicle .Overall the best gps so far, at a fair price.

Sehr gutes Navi mit vielen Zusatzfunktionen
Tolles Navi!
