I have an 11 year old Honda Accord, 2 litre vetec, inclusive of Sat Nav. 5 years ago the mapping went black although verbal directions were as normal. 2 months later it suddenly came back and remained perfect until recently when it failed again (fortunately at the end of a journey where I didn’t need it!) Having contacted a Honda main dealer near me, I was informed that it would have to undergo tests on a special peice of equipment which would cost £156 plus parts or replacement, dependant upon findings. I poiltely declined the said offer and bought this little beauty for £129!. I spent another £14.99 on a dashboard mat to stick it on and placed it in the cavity where the old sat nav is housed. It is brilliant. I am in my 80’s and am some what short of the nous of a 10 year old when it comes to technology. However, after getting over a short lived panic attack, I decided to follow the initial set up instructions which led me to the mapping. I then started pressing buttons on screen and very quickly I realised how flipping simple it is to acquire the info needed plus a lot more. There are negative reviews on here regarding this product. I would respectfully suggest some maybe frivolous and others genuingly in awe of what ‘difficult to understand without pages full of usually complicated instructions’ really means. A bit of common sense is all that is really required and this little beauty will serve all needs in navigation! It comes with a usb lead which you insert into a cigarette lighter adapter, and for anybody still struggling the other end into back of Sat Nav and if you have a Samsung phone, you can use that to save having to move it wherever you go. You can also purchase a hard case to keep it safe. All in all a really worthwhile buy and very good value. If you need one. Buy it!

Brilliant – easy to set up and update using wifi, including alerts for speeding and automatically changing from miles to KM and it recognised all my “places” from my Tomtom start 42. Very impressive. Screen is clear and sound quality is as good as it gets. Not had a problem with accuracy finding any place so far. I am sure there are more expensive on the market but this satisfies all my needs without breaking the bank.

Decent sat nav at a reasonable price.Third TomTom I’ve owed and they don’t disappoint.Clear 6 inch screen and very easy to set up. Mapping is accurate and instructions clear.Would be 5 * if, for ease of use, TomTom could place the charging socket at the base of the unit rather than on the back. Also similarly with the on /off button. Perhaps locate on side of unit.Minor gripes but overall would recommend.

Pleased with this replacement satnav. The first one I ordered didn’t work properly as the charger was faulty. I request to return satnav even though it was out of it’s warranty date by about a month and amazon replaced it the next day once proof of return postage was logged. Very good customer service. The replacement works perfectly.

Back in 2017 I purchased a TomTom Satnav and had been using it without issue. That was until this year when TomTom decided to stop supporting it meaning that the maps were out of date and i found it was no longer telling me of delays. Now, that is a pretty terrible decision for consumers essentially bricking a fairly expensive piece of hardware but up until then it had been great so i decided to upgrade….(you can tell where this is going). The new one is terrible! here are just some issues i have with it:- The UI is exactly the same, which of itself is no bad thing but seeing as i had been forced to upgrade because my old model was no longer supported , is somewhat galling.- The speed camera service that used to be free is now a subscription that costs, at the time of writing costs £34.99 a year because i guess yachts do not pay for themselves.- After setting a location and planning a route, the screen will randomly zoom out to cover about 10% of the entire country while driving making it impossible to read the screen unless i pull over and reset the route. This happens 4 to 5 times a week.- The previous model had a magnetic lock that made it easy to detach from the holder. The new one has a crap ball socket which does not click into place so you cannot tell if it is locked into place or not resulting in it falling off mid drive several times. All in all, you would be better off using Google maps on your phone, Not only is it free, but it is more user friendly. I will not be buying a TomTom produce again

I decided to update from my old 5” TOMTOM GO20, and am very happy with the screen size of 6”. The maps are of an excellent quality and are updated monthly. To shorten the time it takes to update the maps, I took off the maps of the European Countries I do not require. A big difference. The maps are very accurate, but like all Sat Nav devices, they rely on the respective authorities for updates, which often take a long time in coming.Concerning the speed camera updates: they come monthly and have to be paid for after the first 3 months. Not worth it. On my old TOMTOM, the speed cameras are updated every 2 or 3 days, and do not have to be paid for as being part of the package when I bought it.The voice message that you have reached your destination comes a bit early, and is accompanied by a message in a large box on the screen which is too big. A problem if you still have to drive through a through a final road system (eg a roundabout) to get to the destination.Overall, I am happy with this upgrade.

Good basic satnav, bought to replace the mark one version which in my opinion was easier to use. For some reason my original review was rejected!

I know when you travel to Europe from Canada or the US, you can use your phone but other people as I, love this product. It indicates 1 km before where all the speed traps are so you can avoid paying hefty tickets. I just love this product
