Great bit of kit. Really like the arrows that appear telling you to turn left / rightLarge screen is great to view on the move

Bought this to replace my old GO 5200 a five inch model. The GO Advanced has a larger six inch screen and is faster otherwise familiar, everything works in the same way. So no learning curve very pleased with the product and the ability to attach to either the dashboard or windscreen is a bonus. Well built and good value.

Buy this tom tom it is extremely good and keeps you right

IRelatively inexpensive.It’s ok however not suitable if you have motion sickness as it doesnt always take the obvious route. Travelling 30 miles alongside the M74 down winding roads and small villages was not a happy journey. Other downside is to use traffic alerts it has to be linked to your mobile phone.We do like that its instruction to turn is very obvious

GPS TomTom Go Advance
Malgré des commentaires précédents négatifs , ce TomTom Go Advanced me paraît plutôt pas mal , mises à jour rapides et choix différents de l’itinéraire choisi . Comparé à celui que je possédait ( TomTom Go 5200) et qui ne fonctionnait pas correctement : chaque fois sur l’autoroute , cela m’indiquait de prendre la 1ere sortie , alors que je savais trés bien que c’était faux , ensuite la voix supposé m’informer des directions ne fonctionnait plus et souvent au départ , aprés avoir mis une destination supposée connue , cela m’indiquait le contraire ! Seul en ville ça restait correcte , par conséquent , j’espère qu’avec ce nouveau GPS , je n’aurait plus ces désagréments . De plus , concernant le prix de ce TomTom , je trouve que c’était moins cher que d’autres qui font les mêmes fonctions ( Monde , entre-autres)

Could be better
I can see why they are going away from hardware business, they are pretty bad at it. Firstly, why is a device purchased that is called Go Advanced, becomes Go Camper Tour upon registration? That just confuses the consumer. Secondly, the interface looks good but the underlying software is a mess. I can understand why downloading maps takes a long time but why does deleting maps take almost an hour, is there a need to securely delete it? It should be almost instantaneous. Finally the map, especially the POIs, even when it’s updated on Nov 2025, compared to the android app is different and very outdated, why is there such a big difference when it’s the same company? I purchased the hardware after I am happy with the app but I prefer a standalone device, and it’s not even close to the same. The wifi is also very wonky when you hotspot to itFinally, I would say the device, screen and navigation looks great. Please put in more effort on improving the map and POIs.

First time user , lacks the choice of route like in google map. Nice size of screen with visual effects. Sometimes turns off without any reason and takes couple of minutes to restart the device

There are lots of problems with this navigator.A casual look and playing around with this device will prompt you to sign up/ register at Tom Tom but that sign in option seems to be permanently broken as it keeps on saying “Oops try again”If you connect it to the laptop to get it charged then the device will keep shutting down every 5/10 mins, so it needs to be connected to a proper power source, i used my mobile phone charger and it was fineSince sign up /wp-signup.php was broken it meant updates didn’t work, but inside settings I found the option to download/update maps meaning I didn’t need to sign up/ registerFinally, I paid for the world map but the device is really crazy, it hasn’t got enough storage to fit in the world map, in fact it can only store 1/10 (more or less) of the world map at any given time. Which means if you try to add more regions/countries it will prompt you to delete other maps first. Very annoying!The navigator is functional only if the user is willing to tolerate these significant design flaws: a broken sign-in system, fragile laptop charging, and critically, a lack of storage capacity for the world map it sells.
