The set up is super easy and the app is darn good. The build quality is solid and the functionality is excellent. Very detailed images and it’ll hold a daylight quality image long after it’s dark outside. The motion detection is top notch. Very impressed so far!

Superb cameras. We have 5 and bought a 6th.Pros:-1. Clear images2. Reliable motion detection3. Short cables can be replaced with longer ones from Think Assemble4. Adjustable camera image i.e. you can turn the camera upside down and flip the image.5. Full colour or black & white available4. User friendly – both app and camera functions. Easily adjustable.Cons:-1. the lead is chunky and can’t be removed if you don’t need them for outdoors connection. We only use one portion of the power lead and the other unused part has to be pinned out of sight. Not an issue for us because we use them indoors and pointing through windows.2. Short power supply cables (replaceable).3. The back of the memory card compartment is difficult to remove and the screws can get stuck. Be very careful when first removing them and needs replacement ones with stronger screw tops or the tops will wear down after a few turns and you’ll struggle to get the screws out.4. Mic feedback if close to the cameras. Just make sure you’re not near when testing the mic or looking at footage.

I bought this camera not to use with the Tapo ecosystem, but actually to add to an existing IP camera security system (a Synology Security Station), and I’m pleased to say it worked out of the box. The picture quality is pretty good during the day, and night vision benefits from bright IR LED’s so it’s more than capable. The camera supports both wifi and ethernet, however do bear in mind the ethernet connection doesn’t support PoE, so you’ll need to run a seperate power cable. Helpfully, the power cable is super long for the camera, but it’s unfortunate that there’s no PoE support.Even if you’re not using the Tapo app to control/record with it, you can easily set up the camera and hand it off to your own NVR. Pan and Tilt is a nice bonus, and works outside of the Tapo app. The camera presents excellent value for money, but loses a star for having ethernet without PoE support!

I’ve been using the Tapo TC41 for a few weeks now, and I’m genuinely impressed. Setup was a breeze—just connect to WiFi, pair with the app, and you’re good to go. The 2K resolution is crystal clear, and the pan/tilt feature gives me full coverage of my driveway and garden without needing multiple cameras.The smart person detection and motion tracking are spot-on—it rarely gives false alerts, and the notifications are instant. Night vision is a game-changer: full-colour even in low light, which makes identifying people or vehicles much easier.I love that there’s no monthly fee—everything is stored locally or via Tapo Care if you want cloud backup. The two-way talk is loud and clear, and the camera is IP65 rated, so it handles rain and wind without issue.Bonus: it works seamlessly with Alexa and Google Assistant, so I can check the feed with a simple voice command.If you’re looking for a reliable, feature-packed outdoor security camera at a great price, the TC41 is a no-brainer. Highly recommended!

Have been using Tapo cameras for a while, have even bought them as presents for family! So I thought I would upgrade to this model, as it does everything I need in home security ( tracking, smart mode with QHD and alarms)Daughter installed the camera in about 30mins with absolutely no problems. ( most of the time was positioning it)So, initially I had a few software issues with this camera, but on contacting the support forum, they promptly passed my problem onto the TP-Link Technical Support team. I cannot speak highly enough of these experts, they talked me through everything, and indeed, made me feel very confident the issue would be sorted quickly with me having to do the bare minimum.The camera is well worth the money and as every other Tapo cam very easy to use. Connects easily to wireless Wi-Fi and set up is also very easy. Night vision is great, but sensitivity does need reduced when it rains.All in all I have to give this 5⭐️ , even with the initial issue. Ryan Long and the TP-Link Technical Support team are such a dedicated group, I never once regretted buying this model.IMO Best home security around in this price range, and the most dedicated support team. Another brilliant product by Tapo.

Buena calidad, fácil de usar e instalar
Lo tengo hace 2 meses y sigue funcionando sin problema, fácil de instalar y la calidad de video es muy buena tanto de día como en la obscuridad. Detecta casi todo tipo de movimientos y saca sustos cuando hay gatos por la colonia porque los confunde que son personas jaja. Y el campo de visión también es amplio. La aplicación también muy fácil de utilizar para activar, desactivar la alarma y poder ver los archivos.
