I have been using the Sony XM5 headphones in silver for a little while now and I am really impressed. The sound quality is fantastic with clear highs, rich mids and deep bass that does not feel overpowering. Whether I am listening to music, watching a film or taking a call, the audio is consistently excellent.The noise cancelling is some of the best I have experienced. It blocks out background noise really well and makes a huge difference when working in busy environments or travelling. The ambient sound mode is also very useful when I need to hear what is going on around me without taking the headphones off.Comfort wise, they are great. The ear cups are soft and light and I can wear them for hours without any discomfort. The silver colour looks clean and modern and adds a nice touch of style without being too flashy.That said, the touch controls can be a bit finicky. They usually work but sometimes feel unresponsive, especially when I am walking or if my hands are damp. I also find the physical buttons hard to distinguish when I am wearing the headphones, and I occasionally struggle to tell whether they are actually switched on or not, which can be a bit annoying.Battery life is excellent though and I rarely need to charge them.Overall, despite a few minor frustrations, I would still highly recommend the XM5s. They are well made, sound fantastic and look great too.

Sony WH-1000XM5 Noise Cancelling Wireless Headphones are quite simply – SUPERLATIVE! Pretty Expensive but well worth the Extra Money in my View. I have enjoyed the use of the Right Phone/Speaker to Control, Volume, Track Movement, Pause/Play etc…clever Stuff and make them very Controllable. To Test NOISE CANCELLATION, I set up The Joshua Tree Album and played at “Loud” Volume through my two Desktop Logitec 2.1 Speakers from my Laptop via Think Assemble Music. I paired the XM5’s to my Samsung SE20 and played The Beatles – Abbey Road. You could not hear anything of U2 from 2 feet away. I then did my Standard Test playing Led Zeppelin II at Volume – It was a Whole Lotta Love for sure! Quite Perfect, Vocals, Lead, Bass and Drums. Bonham has never sounded so Good!! RIP John…It looks to me like they would blank out any Road Noise etc…not sure i would wear these in the street or underground etc…makes you such a Target for Idiots? These are valuable, sought after Phones for sure. Quite often you need to hear road noise etc anyway?..But the Noise Cancellation is Brilliant that is for sure. The hidden benefit was I couldn’t hear a word better half was shouting at me!!! lol.. SOUND QUALITY was in my view quite Superb, Stereo Separation was Perfect, Lovely Balanced Bass Note without trying to Skullcandy your eardrums out! There is no Better Test than listening to Macca at his peak with the Beatles if you like Superb Bass play, the Sound was Superb. Vocals were so True to the Original Vinyl Release, quite Perfect. Whilst Playing a Ballad by Bruce Springsteen i could actually hear him pursing his lips as he started to sing. I never heard that really fine detail of sound – Ever. To get down that close is Phenomenal. The Treble/Percussion came across Perfectly. The XM5’s are “Dynamic” in their Delivery all the way through the Range. Childs play to pair, even Better Half Managed it..oops.. Just get a QR Code Scanner on your phone for the Help Notes, they are also very well Documented. I can’t comment on Alexa, Voice Assitant. I haven’t Tested at all. Given the overall quality of these HPhones I am sure it is Perfect. BATTERY LIFE I am up to 25 or so hrs after full charge and they are still Banging Away. I am confident they will do what they say on the box, 30hours plus. I have found the over ear pads are brilliant and dont grip your head at all and i have a big head. I have found them incredibly easy to wear over a period of several hours. The ear pads swivel 360 degress and store really well. When you remove them they shut off Automatically which is a nice feature to preserve the Battery. All in All, Expensive BUT GREAT VALUE! SOUND QUALITY SUPERLATIVE. I am quite thrilled with these and would recommend to anyone who really Appreciates Real Quality Listening. I am going to go to my Study Turn the lights off, Shut my eyes and play “China” by Vangelis! Welcome to a whole new world with these Headphones. The “Long March” will Test any Balance, Percussion and Separation. This evocative Album took me through my Commando Training when i was in the Marines but i never heard it like this before! Thank you Sony!

Sony WH-1000XM5: Noise-Canceling Bliss (Almost)
These headphones are seriously amazing when it comes to blocking out the world. I can barely hear a thing when I have them on, which is perfect for my commute or when I need to focus at work. The sound quality is top-notch too – music sounds rich and balanced, with just the right amount of bass.I also love how clear phone calls are. People on the other end say I sound great.My only gripe? They don’t quite stay put when I’m working out. If Sony could improve the grip a bit, these would be the absolute perfect headphones.Overall: 4.8 out of 5 stars. Highly recommended (unless you’re a marathon runner)!

Excellent casque bluetooth
Ce casque est pour moi un des meilleurs sur le marché des casques bluetooth. Je poste cet avis après plusieurs mois d’utilisation.L’appairage est simple et efficace, et du multipoint réellement efficace et très bien géré ! Il est très facilement possible de switcher entre les appareils connecté, il m’arrive très régulièrement de jongler mes 2 appareils qui y sont connectés simultanément, entre mon téléphone, mon ordinateur du travail, et mon ordinateur personnel.Concernant le son, il est excellent, un peu plus profond et moins percussif que sur du Bose je trouve. Les basses sont bien retransmise, et les aigues n’en sont pas dénaturé pour autant. Attention cependant, il me semble que les haut parleurs sont les mêmes que le XM4, et ce casque étant plus cher que le XM4, attention lors de votre choix. Sa plus value pour moi étant son confort par rapport au XM4.Au niveau des genres qui lui vont le mieux, je dirais la progressive house et tout ce qui est synthwave (chillwave, dreamwave, sexwave… Enfin avec wave dans le nom ^^). Car sur ces genres, les sons electro et les basses sont très bien retransmis je trouve. Autrement, il me va très bien pour d’autres genres que j’écoute également… Classique, Metal, Pop, Industrial, Rock, Dark Wave, Post-punk, New age, Cyberpunk, Electro gothic…Concernant le confort, c’est là où le XM5 prends le pas sur le XM4. Je trouve le XM5 bien plus confort que le XM4, il est plus large que le XM4 et englobe bien mieux les oreilles, et est de ce fait, bien plus confort sur du port longue durée.Concernant l’autonomie, elle est correcte, le casque me dure environ 3 jours avec une batterie pleine, avec une utilisation assez conséquente, 2h par jours dans les transports en commun, et plusieurs heures dans la journée durant le travail.Concernant le micro intégré, la par contre c’est une autre paire de manches… C’est catastrophique ! S’il n’y a pas de bruit autour de vous ça passe, mais si vous êtes au téléphone dans un environnement bruyant, ou même dans une cage d’escalier avec de l’écho, ça risque d’être compliqué pour votre interlocuteur de vous entendre correctement…Concernant la réduction de bruit, je dirais qu’elle est passable, sans être réellement exceptionnelle… Si vous êtes dans Paris typiquement vous allez quand même entendre tout le bruit ambiant, à moins de vous explosez les oreilles et de mettre votre musique à fond…Un peu plus personnel, je suis vraiment moyen fan du look… Et le revêtement adore les traces de doigts, alors méfiez vous…Pour conclure, un excellent casque, pas sans petit défauts néanmoins, mais qui reste une valeur sûre pour ceux qui aiment écouter leur musique avec une bonne qualité (Typiquement en .flac/.wav)
