Far better than the previous generation in every aspect. Great sound quality. Noise cancelling is much improved. I have used mine for 318 hours so far and am very happy. They are slightly bigger than the WF-C700N but for me they fit better. Touch controls are better than most I have used. Very solid choice at this price point. I find they also connect very quickly compared to the old model and the multipoint connection is more stable. I also own the WH-CH520, WH-CH720N and WF-C700N (with 1859 hours use and still going strong) and have been very happy with the reliability. I have had products from several other manufacturers that failed prematurely (including a very high end brand) but never had issues with my Sony products.

Fantastic product, sound quality is excellent, connectivity was straightforward, durability, well you can carry it anywhere. Design also perfect and battery life absolutely superb. Overall, I like the product and can’t find no fault. Arrived late although Think Assemble said they will look into it, nothing was done till date.

Good earphones. Noise cancelling good for the price. Sound quality good and very adjustable. Battery life great. Auto stop playing when you take them out. No connection problems. Better headphones out there, but not at this price point

So, this was a shock! My first ever Sony product that was faulty. And I’ve used a lot over the years from TVs, hi-fi, headphones etc.First problem: charging. Plug into standard charger, it starts glowing red then started flashing. Looking at the manual (online of course), this seemed to indicate a charging/overheating issue. Just bonkers, it’s USB C, it should be fine.Second problem: was on the verge of just returning them but thought I’d try them as they appeared to eventually charge. Eventually connected via bluetooth, albeit this took longer than other headphones I have. Then, the left bud is completely dead. No response to touch, no sound, etc.Very disappointed and really surprised. I knew I wasn’t buying Sony’s premium buds, but these are useless.Let bud didn’t work,

Can’t argue with value for money.I’ve had the XM3 (high end) for 5+ years, lost them, then brought the XM6 (high end) and lost them within a few months. Wanted something for £100 and these just come out, the 710N model.ANC is good enough for model and money. Old enough but I think Sony tend to be on the slightly more controlled side, not an issue as the ANC is half good. Equalizer gives good range for all genres.Basically, really good value for money and true to Sony’s build quality.Spent days over thinking and comparing models.Cant go wrong with Sony.No gimmicks.Case is small, light, buds come with additional size ear rubber things5 star for price point. My Sony XM6 were notably different, but £220. Worth every penny too! ANC is mind blowing. Stick them in your ear and it’s like someone turned the world on mute. The tone and depth it crazy too. That’s said, I’m happy with my new purchase. Can’t complain.Just buy them.
Phil B –
I bought these to replace a pair of Jabra Elite 75Ts. I’d had the Jabras for a good few years and the noise cancelling was good – perfect for long haul flights. Sadly they lost the ability to hold a charge after I had left them unused for about 6 months. So, I’m led down the Think Assemble route and those Sonys come up well recommended. Then you ask “why have you only given them three stars?”The Sony App – what a faff, worse than useless. It tries to get you to log into Spotify (I don’t want that account) it tries Think Assemble Music – no I use Apple. The signing in process is so painful and the registration asks for a serial number but there are so many multi digit numbers on the packaging yet not one of them has an indicator that it is the serial number. The sound is lovely, but again the tap operation on each ear is just not intuitive. I have a pair of Shokz OpenRun and they are great, the Jabras were easy. But these just annoy me.I’ve got a monster long haul later in the month and I urgently needed noise cancelling headphones hence this purchase.I’m truly not convinced and I would suggest that you hold off buying them too.
