Crazy anime girl –
I bought this case to complete my htpc build.Fits my Asrock mirco atx board perfectly. Intel stock cooler fits pretty well but i can see others having problems with larger coolers as the psu sits right above with not much clearance. It does fit a standard atx psu though. I put a bd drive in in one of the 5.25 bays and a 3.5 hdd in the other by using the supplied adapter bracket leaving the 2 dedicated hdd bays free for future expansion. It comes with 1 stock 80mm fan that cools the hdd bays and for a stock fan it isn’t too noisy but i might replace it with a silent model. There are another two 80mm mounts above the graphics card area where i have fitted silent fans and in all that’s 3 80mm fans plus the cpu fan and psu fans. Running speedfan freeware I’m getting excellent temps at an acceptable noise level while wearing headphones. This case does exactly what i need it to do. It looks good and as it’s so small it even fits in my expedit bookcase from Ikea without obstructing vents. Would definitely recommend this case over some more expensive models.

Lovely case. Wanted something a little more discreet than a mid-size tower for my main build so I could shelf mount it in my office.Someone else mentioned it’s a bit of a bear to build in and I’d agree with that slightly, but it’s a compromise you have to put up with for the size of the case.Just so people know, it’s not possible to install liquid cooling in this case as the mobo sits too close to the side of the case and there’s no fan mounts.The one 120mm fan that comes with it is awkwardly positioned bringing in air, and first passing it over the HDD caddy and then into the case. I replaced it with a Cooler Master case fan which is quieter, but it was over an hour’s work to get the HDD caddy and the fan out and put in the replacement. I’m not sure it was worth bothering now.Also worth noting that the fan sits in such a way that you need to think about the nearest way to get your power cable to your mobo fan header without it flapping around in the breeze.I’m using a Corsair 550w, non-modular PSU in this and I’d definitely recommend a semi-modular PSU if you are putting a build together, to allow you to keep the majority of your cables away from your mobo and neat.That said, you can’t see inside the case once all put together so if you are building just for you, then it’s probably not an issue and the case has tons of vent holes so the cables don’t impede airflow hugely.There’s always going to be compromises with super small cases, but the end result – and the masses of HDD brackets make this worth checking out.
Bad Actor –
Bought this to replace an older HTPC style case I had from Antec.I would have continued using the Antec as it fitted in well with my hi-fi separates but I bought a graphics card that was longer and taller than I expected so consequently I couldn’t get the lid on.This is a good quality case but despite the blurb saying it accommodates a graphics card up to 14″ in length this is not the case if you want to make use of the vertical HDD caddies. The trays stick out too far, not by much but enough to prevent your graphics card slotting in. My card has a back plate fitted which probably didn’t help. In saying that though, even without a back plate there is no way you would get a longer card in once hard drive cables were connected. The only way I could get the card in was by removing all the caddies and even then it was tight. This isn’t a problem for me as there is a bracket that sits above the optical drive slot that will accept two 2.5″ drives so I used those. If you want to add further drives and you have a longer graphics card then you are out of luck.I used a fully modular Corsair power supply which made installation easy and tidy.One thing to mention is there is an expansion bracket that runs virtually the full length of the case on one side. This allows you to fit a second smaller fan angled into the case. It is also the chassis that the rear expansion card retaining bracket screws into.I could not refit this into the case as my graphics card was too tall. Thus not able to screw the retaining bracket into place.Not a showstopper for me but may be for others should they want to add the extra fan.The graphics card I installed is an MSI Gaming Z which is a monster, with a shorter card you should not have the problems I have mentioned.All in all, a good quality case, looks real neat and very quiet, just be aware of issues should you want to install a longer graphics card.I will add photos of my installation tomorrow highlighting the issues I had.

I used this case to build my first ever gaming PC. I’d heard it can be pretty tricky with the small form factor cases, but I had no trouble at all getting everything fitted and wired up inside. Fantastic looking case, and such a well considered use of space inside (the way the drive bays are arranged and where the PSU compartment is situated is just fantastic) along with several pre-installed fans and a manual that came in very handy.It’s the perfect size for carting about to LAN events and it’s a fantastic looking case too.

silver stone GD05から２台目作成の為、購入。小型の割には良い。MicroATXのマザーボードでSSD、HDD、ドライブを１つづつ取り付け、HDDやSSDはまだ増設可能。今のところ使用感に問題なし。

予想よりデカくて驚きましたがまぁ 大は小を兼ねるって言いますしね（汗）５インチベイ２つ付いてるのは便利ですそのうちリムーバブルケース2つでRaid組むのも面白そうですmini ITXのマザーで組みましたが問題なしでした！電源が真上なので配線終わらせてから乗っけた方が良いです

Winziges Platzwunder
Das Gehäuse wurde gekauft, um das doch extrem enge m-ITX Gehäuse Fractal Design Node 304 zu ersetzen.Als erstes ist mir beim Auspacken aufgefallen, dass das Gehäuse wirklich super verarbeitet ist. Keine scharfen Kanten, der Lack ist gleichmäßig aufgetragen und es klappert absolut nix. Sehr solide. Darüber hinaus handelt es sich hier nicht mal um ein hässliches Gehäuse wie ich erst befürchtet hatte. In echt sieht es besser aus als auf den Bildern (wobei zugegebenermaßen die abnehmbaren Staubfilter bei der Grafikkarte von mir wegweisen). Die Front ist aus massivem Aluminium, nicht aus Plastik mit einer dünnen Aluminiumschicht, wie beim Node 304.Beim Zusammenbau des Rechners wurde mir bewusst, wie intelligent das Design sich im Innenraum fortsetzt. Die Installation der Komponenten geht in Relation zum Innenraum sehr einfach von der Hand.Ich würde jedoch ein modulares Netzteil mit einer Länge von nicht mehr als 150mm empfehlen, Ein nichtmodulares mit 140mm Länge ist zwar möglich, das “aufräumen” der Kabel gestaltet sich aber extrem schwierig… Außerdem sollte man darauf achten, dass das Netzteil leise ist, am besten passiv oder semi-passiv. Dadurch, dass der Lüfter des Netzteils direkt an der Front sitzt, ist das Netzteil permanent hörbar.Ich persönlich nutze ein EVGA SuperNova GS550, was im idle ohne Lüfter komplett lautlos ist, und den Rechner zum Flüsterwinzling macht.Was den Airflow angeht, so ist dieser auch gut geregelt. Standardmäßig pusten ein 120mm Air Penetrator auf die Grafikkarte(n), sowie ein 180er Air Penetrator auf den CPU-Block. Ein normaler 120mm Lüfter sorgt für die Entlüftung am oberen Gehäuserücken. Ich habe den oberen Air Penetrator jedoch umgedreht, so dass dieser nun Warmluft aus dem Gehäuse pustet und 2 Noctua 92mm Lüfter im unteren Teil installiert (im Idle ausgeschaltet). Grund dafür war, dass der AP-181 die warme Luft des CPU Kühlers auf die Grafikkarte gepustet hat, was höhere Grafikkartentemparaturen zur Folge hatte. Möglich ist’s zwar in Standardkonfiguration, ich empfand es so aber besser…Pro:- Super verarbeitet (wie erwähnt)- Alle Staubfilter sind sehr feinmaschig und lassen sich leicht abnehmen und reinigen- Innenleben sehr durchdacht gestaltet- Extrem leise, Lüftersteuerung (zB über Mainboard) vorausgesetzt.Ich kann den Rechner fast nicht hören wenn ich direkt daneben sitze.- Superwinzig. Das findet wirklich nicht genug Beachtung. Das ist das kleinste mATX Gehäuse, das man finden kann, und es ist kleiner als so manche m-ITX “Mini”-Gehäuse wie zB das Prodigy oder ähnliche Konstruktionen.- Nichtsdestotrotz beinahe unspektakulär einfacher Einbau aller Komponenten im Vergleich zu anderen SFF Cases. DAs Node 304 war beinahe eine Übung in Frustration dagegen.Contra:- Aussehen ist nach wie vor Geschmackssache. Die Luftfilterhalter aus Plastik sind natürlich ein sehr störendes Element in einer Konstruktion aus Stahl und Aluminium…- Für das Kabelmanagement könnte es ein paar mehr Ösen und Haken haben, um Kabel daran festzuzurren- Das interne Kaltgerätekabel ist nicht so recht kompatibel mit allen Netzteilen. Bei meinem EVGA schaut das kabel am unteren Ende über das Netzteil heraus und stößt mit dem 120mm Lüfter an der Grafikkarte zusammen. Um das zu umgehen, muss man das Kabel stark verbiegen. Nicht sehr elegant gelöst…- Optisches Laufwerk (sofern gewünscht) nur als Slot-In Slim möglich.Alles in allem kann ich das Gehäuse jedem empfehlen, der einen kleinen portablen Rechner will (zB für LANs), oder einen HTPC/Steam Machine basteln mag, oder einfach nur einen kleinen Mini-PC auf dem Schreibtisch stehen haben möchte.
