The divan bases separate when you open the storage as the bed wasn’t assembled correctly as per Silentnight instructions. They used the flimsy plastic clip instead of the metal ones which should then be screwed into the bed frame.
The metal clips weren’t left with the other spare parts ( Hmmm… I wonder why ? )
Also they cross-threaded one of the headboard screws.
So if you can assemble the bed yourself just follow the instructions, it’s that simple !!

Shame that the drawer doesn’t sit flush
One half of the divan had dirt marks on it and the drawer doesn’t close properly. On closer inspection could see the runners for the drawer had not been properly attached and it means the draw doesn’t sit flush. The stickers that show where to make holes to attach the headboard were in the wrong places. Really disappointing as otherwise happy with the comfort of the bed and the overall look with the headboard attached.

Poor quality in parts supplied
Nice base. Although it comes with 1 plastic connector for the Devan base. Which 1.falls off. 2. When you you lift the mattress base it comes apart. I had to order 2 metal connectors to keep the bed from coming apart.
The guys who deliver and construct it are given 10 minutes to do so. Shame that they are not given more time to test that it works. All they are required to do is to take a photo once constructed. They should take a photo with the base lifted to see what it does then. Would have given a 4 star if we did not have to take it apart and rebuild it again ourselves
The delivery guys were great given what they had to do in the time they had, with cheap materials

Great bed
This is a quality bed, the headboard is quite large the bed itself is of a high quality and sturdy. There are 2 bedside draws to use as extra storage. The ottoman base is very large and about tall enough to fit a very full bag of shopping, but extends to half the bed so great for storing spare bedding or bags of clutter. It’s simple to open (advises 2 people to open but i can do it on my own with 1 hand easily enough due to the hydraulics). The delivery company are also excellent and will give you lots of notice, bring it in and build it for you and take away all the packaging.

A luxurious looking bed with storage
Stunning Bed with extra storage. I have a small bedroom so found the storage elements an excellent idea. In the base of the divan are storage areas. There are 1 pull out draw on each side of the bed and just pull the bed up for the bulk of the storage. The bed makes the room look luxurious. Its a large headboard, so it was s struggle to get it up our staircase A great bed and great price I am very pleased. It took a week or so for the bed to arrive from ordering

Let down by snags and delivery/installation
First of all, we ordered the bed to include delivery and installation. I can’t fault the two guys getting the bed in the house and upstairs in the bedroom we wanted it in but once it was there in 3 pieces, they started to walk off. I asked them if installation was included to which one of them said yes it is but it’s easy, “just a screw in each side of the base”. I could tell there was very little enthusiasm to do this so thought if I wanted doing it well then I may as well do it myself.
We began unpacking the base to find the stitching had come apart towards the headboard end and the material was scuffed in places.
Anyway, the “easy” build was far from the case. It’s a heavy base and it took a lot of manoeuvring in order to get the bases lined up in order to bolt them together. It’s also incredibly fiddly to bolt the lid of the bases together. In total it took a good 90 minutes to build.
As we were installing the base, we found out that one of the double ended screws wasn’t machined correctly and would not screw in so therefore this is now only held in by 3 screws.
Overall, we do like the look of the bed. It appears to be fairly well built and solid. The hydraulics for the lid are good quality and it’s an easy action to lift even with the mattress on.
Stars deducted for installation and the areas where it is not stitched correctly and the bolt in to the headboard.

Great quality and build – shame a few scuffs found
Bed is sold and loads of storage (main reason for the purchase), the Ottoman part can be a little hard to open and close, but gives a great amount of storage. Impressed with the headboard also and the half size drawers mean i can now access the drawer (as i have bed side tables usually blocking the full size side drawer).
Slight disappointment was upon unpackaging and assembling i found a few scuffs to the fabric, one visble and two hidden when bed in use.

Great value package
Chose a traditional double divan after several decades of of living with contemporary beds.
This divan comes with 4 Drawers and a huge headboard. The price package is exceptional and we are delighted with the purchase.
Delivered, unpacked and assembly included in price. All waste materials removed by delivery team.
The delivery team did not remove the transit straps designed to hold the draws in place, so be prepared to do this your self. Scissors required.
Also note, at time of ordering, thinkassemble.co.uk website provides incorrect dimensions relating to headboard height. It should read 136cm tall not 160cm + tall.
Headboard is made of long life materials and is superb.

Lovely bed and headboard – recommended.
This is a really nice bed and headboard. I did have trouble getting it up the stairs as the base is in 2 solid pieces and couldn’t make the turn but the delivery drivers did give it a good try! There’s very little assembly do do and I was able to do it on my own. Looks lovely feels good quality. Having the 2 drawers at the top instead of the ottoman part being the whole bed actually works pretty well. I thought i’d miss the additional space from my previous ottoman and although it is much less, the top part was always a bit awkward to access anyway so I think overall this is better. Would definitely recommend.

Upon putting item together yesterday noticed a couple of marks on the material and frame I assume from transportation. Not 100% happy with item which is the second one purchased from thinkassemble.co.uk although first was perfectly fine.

Silentnight Continental Divan Base with Bloomsbury
I bought this bed as I wanted to go back to having a Divan instead of the slatted base kind I already had, the bed itself is lovely + a nice headboard overall a very nice product and good value for money, the only problem was due to the pandemic we let the guys sit the product in the bedroom so they could go + then we gently unwrapped the packaging off + disposed of it, we put the bed together we noticed a small dent in the divan base when unpacked it had a damage on it where the base meets the headboard, but when joined to the headboard you would never notice,
I did say to thinkassemble.co.uk under the circumstances I would still keep the bed but think I should get a small discount for the damage even a voucher for money off my next spend in store,I provided photo’s of damage but their answer was either take product back to shop for an exchange or money back in normal circumstances that would be perfect but you do not take a double divan bed back to a shop during a pandemic so I have kept the bed 🙁

Damaged and marked divan
Very disappointed both parts of the divan base were delivered damaged and marked . Packaging was intact and delivery team were excellent . It did not look to have been damaged in transit I would say it left the factory in this poor condition.
Headboard fine and looks very nice.
Awaiting replacements to be sent. I have been buying from thinkassemble.co.uk for 20yrs and this is the first item I have had any problems with.
I have every faith in the excellent customer service they offer and it will just be a matter of time before replacement arrives.

Silent Night divan, finishing and instructions
Overall, pretty happy with the product in terms of comfort and use of the Ottoman. The delivery crew we had were as helpful as they could be so no issues there. The comparatively easy issue to resolve was the lack of instructions to join the 2 base halves, however with intuition it became fairly straight forward. The more difficult nut to crack was the missing threaded hole in the base to facilitate one of the headboard fixing points. I got over this by finding a threaded insert which I just happened to find in my home tools and fittings. I tried approaching this back to the makers via thinkassemble.co.uk but it seemed to fall on deaf ears so wound up fixing it myself.

Silentnight 4 draw divan
Delivery was on time and all good. The room wasn’t ready so I had decided to assemble the bed myself which was fine. Overall quality was good but I’ve scored it 3 stars because of the number of misplaced haphazard staples on the underside of the bed, several with one staple leg sticking out that did draw blood! I know it’s the underside of the bed but anyone moving the bed would have ended up with bleeding fingers and if I hadn’t assembled it myself, I would probably have never known until it was too late. I removed the broken staples with pliers and tapped in the one’s that were not seated properly with a small hammer so it’s now OK but I shouldn’t have had to do it.

Brilliant bed
We bought this and are very happy with it. Arrival on schedule the delivery chaps worked their socks off and were pleasant and respectful. The ottoman feature is just perfect. An amazing bed that makes our mattress firmer. We were at our wits end trying to find the perfect bed and went through a number of mattresses which always ended up lumpy.
