The Roku stick is incredibly powerful for its size, compared to larger set top boxes.Only used it with a full HD TV (1920×1080) so far, all is very smooth, there are no visual artefacts whatsoever and WiFi works faultlessly.The UI is clean and simple and voice search works well enough, although could be even better.Love the remote, it is clean and uncluttered but nothing is missing from it.Have only used free streaming services and rented a movie from Think Assemble so far, but really pleased with it. A properly engineered product, unlike all the buggy Freeview boxes I’ve had the displeasure to use over the last 15 years. One to recommend!

This has literally saved me hundreds of pounds thanks to a random ad – not sure what it said but it made me click through. I was going to replace my 2016 Panasonic tv as both its own internal apps and a 2016 Think Assemble fire stick were so slow, locked or crashed and needed rebooting so often I would give up in frustration. Read the reviews and thought I’d got nothing to lose by trying this Rakuten. Oh wow – £39.99 and it’s like I have a super fast tv without changing it. Very easy and fast to set up too. And refreshingly less ad driven/in your face start-up screen. The volume and tv on/off on the remote also means I don’t need to have two remotes all the time. And one interesting option is the facility to link to headphones. I’m moving to a top floor flat soon and was concerned about volume passing through the floor as I’ve had some hearing damage but this way I can keep the volume just on me, although I haven’t tested yet as I’ve not found it in the settings so will have to delve a bit deeper.So overall an extraordinarily solid product and i may sound overly enthusiastic but I want to spread the word for anyone else wanting to overcome the built in obsolescence of their current kit!

This is a refreshing replacement for a Fire TV stick. It’s fast and works well. Just wanted something that would launch multiple streaming apps and had a clear interface.Fire TV just became a huge mess of adverts and annoyance.You do need to proved decent power and most TV USB probably isn’t enough. WiFi has been rock solid and so far streaming has been faultless. Nice remote too.

The software, remote and stick are excellent. the support team in US also is very helpful. but unfortunately it is not meant to be used in the region, you cannot download apps like Shahed and several features are not accessible from the region
