Item not fit for purpose
Well where do I start, this item should not be on sale it is not fit for purpose persevered with this item for three weeks and then returned to thinkassemble.co.uk for full refund app does not work most of the time and when it does what you have to do is disable Bluetooth and mobile data for the app to work when it wants to. Customer service Road Angel? absolutely appalling contact them via telephone to order permanent feed which is not available online quoted me £26 and 10 minutes later I got an invoice in on the email for £32 and then sent me a secondhand unit with 2 parts missing after six telephone calls later and then turning round and accusing me of trying to fraud them I return the item back to thinkassemble.co.uk. I have now got Next base fitted it 45 minutes running no problem do not purchase this item you will regret it.

Overpriced and Avoid
Working as expected, with high quality images.
However, there’s no manual available for the product online or in packaging. There’s only a quick setup guide. I have no idea how does the so called’ADAS ‘ system works.
It keep on saying driving in lane While I am already in lane and also keep on saying pedestrian while there’s no one nearby. It also unavailable to sense front car launching, those features mentioned on website.
It have already became a pain to listen to those so called smart assistant, would rather get a halo pro instead of this.

Cannot recommend right now (March 2022)
As things stand I am considering returning this camera for a refund as 1) There is no hard-wire kit available from the manufacturer to install it neatly in the car (it does come with a lead that can plug into a lighter socket but who wants wires dangling across the dash?) – They told me to get the kit for another product from their website but they are ‘coming soon’ 2) Some of the ‘smart’ features advertised such as ‘ADAS’ do not appear to be enabled, there is no mention in the manual or the app. (There is not a full manual, just a sheet with basic instructions) 3) The app that is essential to use the camera is pretty poor. There was mention on the manufacturers website that a new app was coming in February but that’s now been updated to say it was released in January so not sure what is going on there.

Save Your Money
Had this camera for several months now. Pro’s : good resolution. Very wide angle display. Fits well to screen with provided adhesive pads and spares provided. Now the Con’s. The app that’s needed to download your pictures can only be described as rubbish. Crap is a better word for it! Can only connect via Wi-Fi so you have to disconnect from your normal Wi-Fi and connect to the Angel. None of the safety features can be accessed properly, and whatever audible warnings it gives is in a feint Americanised voice. Doesn’t connect through Bluetooth to the car radio. Instructions are non existent. For instance I sometimes get a flashing purple is light for approx 5 – 6 seconds. No idea what it means . Lane change alert maybe??? Who knows. Oh and there is no hardwire kit available. I bought one off the internet and sorted out the wiring myself . Shame. Great potential, poor execution. Save your money and buy a Nextbase.

Didn’t work!
Very poor software and customer service. The play back wouldn’t work. I phoned the helpline on 3 occasions, you have to switch off blue tooth and Wi-Fi on your phone to connect (something that would be annoying if you had an issue and wanted to play back footage. It still didn’t work, they then gave me another app to download, still no joy. I was then told there is an issue with the software on the app as other customers had the same issue and I should download it again the next day. I did it for three days and no difference so I took it back for a refund.

Good quality but can’t recommend
High quality camera but with zero manuals, not even online… Just a quick start guide.
It does even more things than you want and it’s hard to know how to shut it up, especially when it can’t get it’s car proximity sensing correct.
I wish I’d bought a more budget version.

Good but improvements could be made with the app..
This is a good camera but agree with other reviewers about the useless app. It’s not very intuitive or user friendly. Very confusing commands and descriptions. And another thing is that I had to turn the volume off as the camera is meant to warn you when you get too close to the car in front of you however this doesn’t seem to work properly and it just keep repeating over and over even with no cars in front!!

Camera it fantastic BUT only thing is lacking is the app doesn’t function as meant to be however after contacting the Road Angel they gave me another app to work with temporarily and fixing the actual app as the (said)…
other than that the camera is good and easy to work on in all aspects

Hardwire kit not available nor fitters
I was expecting a top of the line model. It still might be, but half the features require it to be hardwired. Cannot find the hardwire kit nor anyone to fit this, so have given up and returning it.

Excellent – especially with sound muted via App
It’s certainly a great quality product but there’s just not enough accurate info on the quick start guide to enable comprehensive initial set up – apparently the full user manual is in the process of being updated and will be available online during April 2022. We initially encountered difficulty connecting to the App, which resulted in a phone call to the helpline. The received instructions stated that the mobile device (iPad or phone) must have both Bluetooth & mobile data switched off in order for the App to successfully connect. This then did enable it to fully connect, yet the necessity is not stated anywhere!! Within the settings on the App is the much needed option to fully mute the overly excessive dashcam audio. It’s great to finally drive without being told “too close to front car” when I’m the only car in sight!

Poor app technology lets it down
The look of the product is good, small and neat however struggled with the app. It was ‘clunky’ to link camera to phone and the camera has a really annoying and inaccurate voice over . Kept telling me to avoid pedestrians when we had already passed them? The support provided was ok and I finally managed to mute the camera but I nearly returned the product because of the app.

Good camera, poor app.
Easy to install with a good quality image and a complete pain of an app. After contacting the service desk, who were helpful, I installed one called DDPAI from the App Store which so much better than the recommended Halo one. Once that was done I was very happy with the camera and it’s features.
