Very easy to set up a install. It comes with one battery, so best to buy another so you have one in the camera and one charged. Excellent picture and sound quality and well worth the price will recommend to anyone

Easy to install and does a great job as has all Ring products I have purchased over the years

Had this professionally installed by an Think Assemble installer. The camera is very good. Really wide field of vision. Good quality picture, including at night. Motion detection for filming is very good. The built in spotlight is ok however could be better. As well as for security, I use this to light my driveway when I come home in the dark so I can see. The spotlight does turn off after about 30 seconds, even if Im still standing in the driveway (ie when im plugging my car in, still moving but not walking around), and I have to walk about and wave at it to turn the light back on. One time the light got stuck on and was lighting in the middle of the day and I had to restart it. Also the app control on the light doesn’t work very well – it often shows the light as being on when it actually isn’t, and manual control of the light from the app doesn’t work 90% of the time. Hopefully this may be fixable by firmware later down the line.

The Ring Spotlight Cam Pro Battery has exceeded my expectations and has genuinely upgraded the security around my home. The 2K video quality is superb — crisp, detailed, and clear enough to easily identify faces, number plates, and activity both day and night. The enhanced Ring Vision nighttime clarity makes a real difference compared to older models. The standout feature for me is the 3D Motion Detection with Bird’s Eye View. It gives a precise overhead map of where motion originated and how it moved across the property, which adds a whole new level of awareness and accuracy. No more guessing what triggered an alert — the camera shows the exact path. The built-in LED spotlights are bright and come on instantly when motion is detected, providing excellent visibility and acting as a strong deterrent. Despite being a powerful unit, installation was genuinely DIY-friendly. The battery system makes placement flexible, and the camera connected to the app with no fuss. The Ring app remains one of the most intuitive on the market, and the included 30-day free trial of Ring Home is a good way to test out the extra features like video history and smart notifications.Overall, the Ring Spotlight Cam Pro Battery is a smart, reliable, and feature-packed camera that offers great peace of mind. Highly recommended for anyone looking to strengthen home security with minimal effort.**I’ve paired this ring cam pro (battery) up with the Ring Solar Panel (2nd Generation, USB-C, 4W in Black)**

The Ring Spotlight Cam Pro is an excellent security camera with great image quality, motion detection, and useful smart features. It provides clear footage, reliable alerts, and good night vision, making it a solid choice for home security. However, the solar panel charging in the UK’s climate is not very effective. Cloudy days significantly reduce charging efficiency, meaning the camera may not stay powered for long. For consistent performance, it’s better to plug it into a power outlet or use the solar panel with a smaller camera that requires less energy. That said, when properly powered, this camera is a fantastic option for enhancing home security.

Good camera, lights up well, easy to install. Bought extra batteries to keep camera charged and a shield for top to keep rain off. Great picture on ring app to check outside, and voice speaker to talk to people outside.

I purchased a Ring Spotlight camera earlier this year and had the hard wired version installed by a qualified electrician. Initial performance was good, but within a few months the device failed to return a video feed. The camera failed when I was away from home, and I was unable to monitor the feed while I was away. This was obviously concerning and very disappointing.Upon returning home, I re-ran the setup process via the Ring app which repeatedly advised that setup completed successfully, but in fact continued to not return a video feed… this was a miserable never ending failure loop, with the Device Health page in the app merrily advising that everything was functioning as it should be when in fact the camera was not connecting and not capturing any video. After spending considerable time troubleshooting this I contacted Ring support via their web chat option. Support advised that the camera feed was failing due to a poor wi-fi connection… This made no sense to me as I had other functioning cameras operating with an even weaker signal… But I nevertheless shelled out for a Ring Chime Pro to boost the signal, as instructed by the support chat agent. This achieved a stronger RSSI, but the device still failed to return a video feed.I contacted support again. The Support process was miserable, I was regularly disconnected and the agents were largely unhelpful and quite rude. It became apparent that while the app and advised the device was up to date, there was a firmware issue and the device would not function properly until this was addressed. The enhanced Chime Pro signal was not enough to deliver this firmware update to the device, apparently. So, the original feedback from Ring support was a waste of my money. After several hours of troubleshooting and getting up and down ladders to press the physical reset button, Ring Support finally agreed that the device was broken and would need to be replaced. Note that this is an outdoor camera, so optimal camera placement requires an elevated position…. This means that physically accessing the device when it fails is quite difficult.I’ll also note that I was advised by support that a chat transcript would be shared with my via email, but this never materialised.Once Ring confirmed they would replace the device, I was then advised that it is Ring policy to not issue a replacement device until the original is received. The broken device is hard wired to my mains electricity, and will require an electrician to remove. I flagged to Ring support that this means I will be burdened with 3x the cost of Electrician call out charges… One for initial install of the flawed device, one for removal of the flawed device and one more for installation of a functioning device, once the return has been processed. I requested Ring issue a replacement device so that I could complete the uninstallation and reinstallation with a single Engineer call out. Ring advised that this was not their policy, and (unsurprisingly) I would be burdened with all engineer call out costs to attend to this broken device.I was more or less prepared to absorb an additional electrician charge, but the prospect of 2 call outs (first for removal, second for installation whenever Ring deign to a send a working device) is unreasonable, and entirely a consequence of Ring’s poor customer service and support. After all the issues I’ve had, this is the last straw.I do not recommend this product. It broke very quickly, and the Ring support process has been genuinely woeful. I’d recommend thinking very carefully before committing to getting any Ring device hard wired into your home. Fortunately this is the only device I have hard wired in, but my next steps will be to remove all other devices from my property as I have totally lost faith in this system and have no inclination to further lock myself into the Ring ecosystem. If you’ve read this far and are in two minds about committing to a Ring device, my suggestion would be DO NOT DO IT, THERE ARE BETTER ALTERNATIVES OUT THERE. The customer support is shocking, the build quality is very poor and I am now quite literally hundreds of pounds out of pocket.

Just added another camera to cover internal garage. Chose plugin lots of cable. It’s doing a great job. Great value,Clear picture and really easy to connect to existing system. Gives you peace of mind great night vision. Would recommend.

Not recommended!
Huge mistake. No internal memory! To save history, you have to pay every month. Without a subscription, you can only see in real time, meaningless. It is better to buy a product with internal memory!

Very good camera
Whish it was avaliable in atleast 2K, but I get that it would be difficult for fast and reliable notifications/backup connection. Otherwise I’m happy.
