Very nice and well made product. Lights are quite bright and warm white compared to most led’s these days. I especially like the way it tells people nearby they’re being recorded when the alarm system is armed. A bit like saying to any unsavoury characters to clear off. I definitely recommend this product.

Edit after a few months: Ring fixed the issue with the snapshots not working, they are now working perfectly. The issue with the lights coming on and flooding the image has been resolved by repositioning the lights in different directions.The only remaining issue is that it is impossible for me to get the device connected to a 5ghz wifi network as it requires a high channel and my router (the same as lots of others) can’t be changed to accommodate it. Other than that it is a vast improvement over the 1st gen model. Adjusted my review from 1 star to 4 stars.——Snapshots weren’t working when first installed due to an error on Ring’s servers. Image at night time is ok but becomes completely useless when the lights turn on at night as the quality of the image changes when the lights are activated. Useless.Need better customisation of image settings when lights are activated. Also light sensitivity settings appear to be pointless as the changes make no impact.

I’m genuinely impressed with the Ring Floodlight Cam; it is head and shoulders better than any other system currently out there. The video quality and features are superb. When choosing the mains-powered option, I knew it was the way to go for consistent power and to fuel the brilliant floodlights, which is why it gets full marks for performance!My only real disappointment, and it’s a big one, is the sheer lack of battery backup. Honestly, I find it a bit bonkers! The main reason you want this level of security is for when things go wrong. If there’s a power cut—which can happen easily enough—the entire camera and recording system simply stops working. That’s a massive security vulnerability.I bring this up even more because I bought a supplementary camera subsequently, and I’ve been left wishing that one was battery or solar powered instead. The cameras are clearly designed with batteries in mind, so why exclude a small emergency backup from the Floodlight model? It’s a puzzling design flaw that undermines the otherwise bombproof quality of the system.I’m still happy to give it 5 stars because the rest of the tech is so advanced and useful, but for single-camera purchases, I’d strongly suggest thinking twice about the power supply and leaning towards a battery or solar option for redundancy.

Purchased as a direct replacement for a working camera and floodlights. I wanted to see the registration plates of potentially dubious callers into our residential close. It does not match the advertised claims for the 4K, ability to zoom in and read the detail in a picture. Probably due to bandwidth, despite this being just 6 feet away from a router disc, with limited demands. Overall, not the improvement which is advertised, and not as good as a neighbours independent system.

E’ uno dei prodotti della famiglia RING. E’ una telecamera con risoluzione 4K, uno zoom molto potente e dalle immagini nitide, ma la funzionalità, secondo me, più utile è il sensore di movimento che accende due proiettori di luce molto potenti. Questa funzione costituisce un buon deterrente per “visitatori indesiderati”. Il resto delle funzionalità sono quelle standard dei prodotti RING, tra cui anche la possibilità, previa sottoscrizione di un abbonamento, di avere le registrazioni degli eventi in cui viene rilevato movimento, in cloud e visionabili quando si riceve la notifica.

Ich nutze die Ring Flutlichtkamera Pro 4K Retina jetzt seit einigen Wochen und möchte meine Erfahrungen teilen. Die Montage war überraschend einfach. Die mitgelieferte Rückenplatte konnte ich problemlos an der Hausfassade befestigen und sie sitzt sehr stabil. Die Kamera wird anschließend nur eingeklickt und festgezogen. Die Einrichtung über die Ring-App dauerte bei mir nur wenige Minuten und war selbsterklärend.Die Bildqualität ist wirklich stark. Tagsüber wirkt alles gestochen scharf und dank der 4K-Auflösung erkennt man selbst kleinere Details sehr gut. Nachts sorgt das Flutlicht für eine fast tageshelle Ausleuchtung. Die Kamera reagiert schnell auf Bewegungen und die Benachrichtigungen kommen ohne spürbare Verzögerung an.Die Bewegungserkennung lässt sich in der App sehr genau einstellen. Ich habe bestimmte Bereiche definiert, damit nicht jedes Auto direkt eine Meldung auslöst. Die App ist übersichtlich aufgebaut und man findet alle wichtigen Funktionen ohne lange zu suchen. Auch die Helligkeit und Farbtemperatur der Flutlichter lassen sich direkt anpassen.Beim WLAN merkt man, wie wichtig eine stabile Verbindung ist. Mit gutem Empfang liefert die Kamera ein klares und flüssiges Bild. Nachdem ich einen Repeater näher an die Kamera gesetzt habe, läuft sie bei mir absolut zuverlässig.Insgesamt bin ich sehr zufrieden. Der Aufbau ist unkompliziert, die Verarbeitung hochwertig und die Bildqualität beeindruckt sowohl tagsüber als auch nachts. Die Kamera ist nicht die günstigste, aber für größere Außenbereiche oder Einfahrten meiner Meinung nach eine sehr gute Wahl.
