Great little walkie talkies. We used them for a recent canal trip so, on the narrow stretches. one of us could walk ahead and see if the route was clear. They worked fine up to half a mile (and we had little need to test much more than that). They’ll also now get used for family walks to keep track of each other where we take alternate routes. The batteries lasted longer than anticipated and usb charging made it easy to charge them up in different locations (or from a power bank)

Clearly aimed at budget walkie-talkie level but they are excellent units, good build quality, firm rotating knobs for channel selecting, clear voice electronics – mic and speaker. They are simple to use, pick a channel and squeeze the talk button and the other two units emit up the voice transmission.I haven’t tested the max range distance as for me thats not really that important, I just need to keep in contact with family when we are not in view of each other, and for when one day the cellular network goes kaput.
