excellent radi with great rx and txfilters ,,vfo mode a breeze or ch block modes, very easy to program with included lead and nice screen readout colors and brightness settings, a fai amount of power, gets a little hot bur add on fans heatsink mod recomende, love the mike and its pf button menus access, very impressed so far with no issues so far .

This radio is great, nice knobs and easy to use. I’m a novice/DIY level at electrical/radio work yet managed the mod to open up the bands. Took about 10 minutes. LOOK ON YOUTUBE FOR INSTRUCTIONS. You open up the case and move a component one place to the right. No soldering, nothing.The problem is, where I live, there is some kind of electric interference that knocks out the very frequencies this radio can pick up. I’ve verified this on my Malahit SDR radio. I think it’s the electric substation I have at the bottom of my garden, plus, the radio scene in my area is dead. I can successfully pick up 40m and 20m on a home made vertical slinky or inverted dipole but NOTHING on the bands this radio covers. Nothing wrong with this radio, it’s at my end. Consider that issue for your own local conditions before buying but it would be unfair to mark it down when the radio isn’t the problem.

Rezension für das Amateurfunkgerät QT80Das gelieferte Amateurfunkgerät QT80 ist insgesamt ein sehr gutes und hochwertig verarbeitetes Gerät. Die Modulation ist unter anderem auf 4 kHz umschaltbar, was einen deutlichen Vorteil bietet. Die Bedienung ist weitgehend selbsterklärend und angenehm intuitiv.Die mechanische Verarbeitung sowie die interne Elektronik wirken sehr solide und professionell. Besonders gefallen hat mir, dass das Gerät sein volles Potenzial entfaltet, sobald man es in den erweiterten HF-Modus versetzt hat, wodurch zusätzliche Bänder zur Verfügung stehen. Das entsprechende Vorgehen erfolgt über die Software des Herstellers. Auch die Möglichkeit, über zusätzliche Software die Sendeleistung anzupassen, ist ein interessantes Feature, das viel Spielraum für individuelle Einstellungen bietet.Mit dem Gerät selbst bin ich sehr zufrieden. Die Lieferung hingegen erfolgte erst im zweiten Anlauf korrekt. In letzter Zeit häufen sich bei thinkassemble.co.uk leider Falschlieferungen, ob durch Zusteller oder im Lager – woran es genau liegt, kann ich nicht beurteilen. Letztlich hat es aber doch geklappt, und mit dem Produkt bin ich wirklich zufrieden.

10 meter radio, easily modified for 12 and 15 meters (yeah, and one other)
Extremely well-built and reasonably easy to use. Had several contacts already from the vehicle with the matched Radioddity antenna, and the screen is bright and easy to read.Yes, it can be very easily modified for additional bands, including 12 and 15 meters (and one other). That takes 5 minutes.The programming software is not native to Linux, but will work with WINE… however, I simply used an old Windows setup to program since I could not figure out how to determine the port for Linux. Others can do this, but I did not have the patience. It’s pretty good and easy-to-use programming software.It is a very good radio for the money, and smaller than you might imagine… if you are so inclined, I think it would work in your vehicle dashboard, but it’s quite unobtrusive under the dash. The built-in speaker is quite adequate, and the noise reduction is very effective.It’s also a great-looking radio. Very happy, and with 80 watts, you will be very happy as well!
