I rarely stick with the same radio for long but this is a keeper.The noise reduction function is amazing, far away stations sound just like locals. The built in echo is really clear, with the right setting it really enhances transmit audio unlike many others I’ve had that muffle it. It has a choice of roger bleeps to annoy others when they get on my nerves, but mostly it’s turned off.There is a programmable button on the mic that can be set to perform one of many functions, mine is set to Noise Reduction.There is an easy mod for this radio to give up to 20 watts output and additional frequencies (24-31mhz), you will find it with a quick google.I drive an amplifier with this radio, the amp can take up to 10 watts input to get maximum output so with a little tweaking of the service menu I set medium power to 10 watts, perfect.The display is large and clear showing channel and frequency readout, signal meter, nr, echo, mode indicators etc.Menu functions are, roger bleep, mic gain, mic type,fm deviation (set it to 4k for loud tx audio), rf power, scan type, scan skip,vox,talkback,time out timer,anl and nb, hi cut, noise reduction, echo, alert, rf gain, offset, band, band name,emergency1, emergency2, mic function key, reset, display colour, brightness, key beep.I’ve owned pretty much every fm cb radio ever made and this stands up as one of the best I’ve had, as clear as a uniden or well filtered cybernet on receive with many more functions like a modern ssb radio. If I can find an ssb radio that performs as well as this I will buy it.

This radio is crystal clear and is packed with tons of features, I though only being £100, these features would be cheap and useless.How wrong I was, it easily competes with the big boys and looks and sounds amazing.You can personalise nearly everything from multiple roger bleeps to screen colours.CB may not be what it used to be but this radio sure makes it fun.

This doesn’t look like your run of the mill cb or any other radio, the radio is heavy menu driven but everything works as it should.The received audio is very good from the internal speaker, the best i have heard, something that puts me off most radios is the thump when the squelch opens and closes, this radio doesn’t do this so that’s a big positive for me, the auto squelch works well.The display takes up most of the front and is easy to read and you can change the colour and brightness.The echo can be customised if you use it but the roger beep would be better with just a single beep rather than the ones on offer.Highly recommended but given better looks and more controls on the front i’m sure it would be a big seller.

Cracking radio simple mod an it’s a 10 metre radio or if you like it can run 10 11 and 12 metres as a license amateur radio operator I’ve kept mine as a 10 metre radio you also get a increase in power mines putting out 15 watts which is plenty for qrp work 100% recommend

This little radio fits in the car with ease and has a great sound. After carrying out the very simple “mod” the radio is now opened up to the ham bands and has the option for up to 30w of power. The only thing missing is SSB but what more could you expect from a sub £100 rig. This is now my go to mobile radio.

Absolute Empfehlung für Alte Hasen und Einsteiger!
Eins vorweg: es kostet unter 100 €. Dass so ein Gerät kein SSB kann und die Bedienungsanleitung (nur Englisch) kur erfahrenen Nutzern Tipps zum Funktionsumfang gibt – geschenkt. Das Gerät ist sauber verarbeitet, der Empfänger ist sensibel und einstellbar, das NRC (digitale Signalanhebung und Rauschdämpfung, für Senden und Empfangen getrennt regelbar!) sowie die einstellbare automatische Rauschsperre arbeiten sehr ordentlich.Es bietet die Möglichkeit mit 12 oder 24 Volt betrieben zu werden, was es für Trucker & Co. interessant macht. Bei mobilem Einsatz hilft das in Kontrast und Farbe einstellbare riesige (für die kompakten Geräteabmessungen) Display, sogar samt Frequenzanzeige zur Kanalanzeige.Das Beste aber ist das mitgelieferte Handmikrofon. Sehr ordentliche Modulation, angenehme Form und Größe, nicht zu leicht in der Hand und mit sauber definiertem, fühlbaren Klick im Mikroschalter. Das und die vielen sinnigen Funktionen des Gerätes zu diesem Preis, machen es für mich zu eindeutigen Empfehlung. Alte Hasen freuen sich über die gute Ergonomie und den brauchbaren Funktionsumfang. Anfänger bekommen ein bezahlbares FM/AM Gerät, welches „out of the box“ und ohne Voreinstellungen hervorragend funktioniert. Die aufkommenden Fragen (Was ist NRC? Was ist Selektivruf?) lassen sich im Gespräch mit erfahrenen Funkern schnell erklären.Tipp für Profis (Achtung: Werksgarantie erlischt bei Änderungen sicherlich): das Display kann 180° verdreht montiert werden, was den kräftigen, gut klingenden Lautsprecher sogar auf die Oberseite des Gerätes bringen kann. Für fast alle Nutzungen, wo das Gerät nicht im LKW unter der Decke montiert wird, bringt das einen klaren Vorteil in der Tonausgabequalität. Und für alle Fragen, die niemand stellen möchte: ja, kann man. 😉 Einfach und effektiv.
