Cheaper clean steamers are available, but on the basis of you get what you pay for, I opted for this to replace a Vax steamer that had died. Buying from thinkassemble.co.uk offered a 30% saving over the price elsewhere. Performance is very good indeed, way superior to Vax when that was new, and the machine seems sturdy enough, so hopefully will last well.
