I am 88 and I have Dry AMD and Cataracts. and a little hard of hearing. I am never afraid to ask for help when the need arises, but I value my independence and ability to do stuff for myself.I was able to programme the Panasonic telephone. The instruction manual that came with the Dual Cordless telephones is fairly straightforward. I only needed to enter phonebook details on one phone.I like the big buttons and the sound is OK. It is fairly lightweight and although operation a little different from previous phones, I am getting used to it. It is not the best landline telephone I have ever used, but it is OK for my needs. Price OK. I hope to claim VAT relief. Delivery was next day.

The big buttons are clear for my Father in law.Easy to use and easy to see with the back lighting.Option of the two phones mean that he doesn’t need to rush around the house to one phone point when a call comes through.Batteries in the phone last really well when he doesn’t replace the handsets on their bases.

I bought these for my father inlaw because they are supposed to be compatible with hearing aids with the audio boost, plus the large buttons should help with his arthritic fingers. BUT, the audio quality was just so appalling he was just not able to use them. I then tried them at home and even with my fairly normal hearing, conversations are difficult to understand. The audio distortion and low volume levels, even with the boost make them terrible. They are not fit for purpose.
