All OK, but doesn’t change time automatically (but easy to do) Approx 32 ring tones including Jingle Bells for Christmas. Easy to set up but lots of features I haven’t used yet, only had it a week. Would buy again. Reasonably priced.

I’ve read a lot of comments that the volume is too low on contemporary Panasonic DECT phones. I’m 65 but not deaf & do not have a problem with this model!Bought to replace a set of 10yr old Philips phones that didn’t like new batteries. I really wanted new phones that use Lithium rechargeable batteries – no one seems to make them so have to put up with temperamental AAA NiMH.The display is black on white & very clear – my Philips was poor when the backlight was on.The phonebook holds 120 entries but you can’t enter different numbers against a name without re-entering the name, unlike mobile phones. You cannot assign different ringtones to different callers but have far more ringtones than I need – 30 or maybe more. The block caller list allows 50 entries but you have to manually enter individual numbers or groups – might not be the best model if you need to block callers regularly.You cannot assign a different set of numbers to single handsets so not much use if you have a lodger for instance. Name entry is as fiddly as other DECT phones & you can set lowercase letters. You can stop individual handsets ringing between programmable times which is great for bedrooms in particular. I haven’t used the noise reduction facility on incoming calls but sound quality was absolutely fine.These phones work with DECT repeaters according to the pretty comprehensive instructions. You can buy optional keyfinders & additional handsets up to a total of 6. The transparent “NR” button flashes to alert uses to either missed calls or left messages. You can program this key to quickly access a couple of functions without scrolling menus.Initial setup is easy – put in the batteries, plug the base station into the line with its power brick, enter the date & time which is then duplicated as the remaining handsets that have their batteries inserted. Enter a name & number – the other handsets are automatically programmed. You can get the system to ring a particular number after a message is left or set an access code to ring then play back messages.
