Excellent Appliance
This replaced a very old Miele dishwasher which eventually stopped working. We really liked that machine, but this seems to wash so much better. It is the cheapest in the Miele range but build quality is excellent and it does everything that we would ever want, so we couldn’t see the point of paying more for features we’d never use. Almost all our appliances are from Miele, and although they are clearly more expensive to purchase, it really feels like it’s the cheapest way to go long term.

Good dishwasher
I’m pleased with this dishwasher. It cleans well and I like the layout inside, though there could be more height in the middle of the top shelf, which is limited by the depth of the cutlery shelf above. I’ve never had a Miele dishwasher before, only Bosch and Siemens, but they keep breaking down. Hopefully this one will last longer.

Very basic Miele
The previous dishwasher was a Miele.
It had a feature that sucks out the moist air at the end, thus drying the content.
thinkassemble.co.uk only had one Miele model to buy, so I ordered the G5110 SC.
No air-dry feature.
The old one could be started by one button, beause I don’t change the mode usually. The new one defaults to a ridiculously long duration program, so I always have to change mode to start it.
The layout of the bottom tray has changed, which takes time to get used to.
In retrospect, I should have gone for a Bosch.
They are doing a cutlery tray now, instead of the cutlery basket that stabs you becase you put the knives and forks pointing upwards.
