Brilliant Midland Bluetooth Mic for the Midland CB app which is free to use available on the Playstore (Android) or appstore (Apple).You can then the led off around the microphone and speaker or change the colour. Quite alot of colours to choose from.There is a customisable button on the mic. I have it set to Radar and Map. But there alot you can customise this button to do.The Midland mic is a good size and takes me back to my cb days.The volume is great and is very loud if you want it. People can hear me perfectly when I transmit (talk) using the Bluetooth mic.I’m so pleased I brought a second one for both of my phones I use only for listening or talking on the Midland CB app.The battery lasts ages before recharging it. It uses a micro USB cable. My own gripe is I wish it was a type c cable. But it nothing that will bother me.You can change the PTT button so you press at the top to transmit but personally I prefer it the way it is.If you do buy this mic get the wireless charing mount just put your microphone in there and it will charge as the microphone supports wireless charging.The led at the top will flash red when it’s charging and a steady blue light when you microphone is fully charged.If for any reason your microphone locks up and you can’t turn it off. Press the volume down button and volume up button both of these buttons are on top of the mic. Keep both buttons pressed till your microphone turns itself off.This is a hard reset and you will need to pair the microphone with your phone or tablet again.It’s value for money imo and definitely makes the Midland CB app more fun. You can even create a group of your own. A open group or a private group. If you open a group you are the admin you can make other people in the group admin or moderators. You can mute a member for 24 hours or ban them completely from your group. The choice is yours.

Bought this as a test to see if it would properly key up on bluetooth on my ICOM IC-705, as I have had very mixed results with other BT headsets / speakers. This one works! Not only that but it’s a very good radio mic, and the speaker is good too. I have had really good audio reports from my contacts, and the speaker is better than the built-in one on the 705. Battery life – not sure yet but it’s been going all day so far, with a few contacts along the way. Pairs with ease. Good size and weighty feel for people with big hands. Finally I can chat from the sofa with a decent speaker / mic, and not having to wear headphones.Downsides: The other buttons than the PTT don’t do anything on the 705, but then this is built for the CB Talk app, so it’s not unexpected. Could possibly reconfigure them but haven’t tried yet. The buttons are stiff to press, but you could say this is good build quality and less prone to accidental presses. Would prefer a USB-C rather than the micro USB socket for charging, but should be fine with care. The flashing light on the top is immensely bright, so I just covered it with a tiny square of black electrical tape.Well worth the cash, and the free CB Talk app is really very good too.

Brilliant bit of kit! I have been warned by everyone to be cautious of how fragile the PTT button is and to be very careful.. they are known for breaking apparently!? Luckily you can change the layout of the buttons.I like that a mic holder comes in the box but just a heads up, the double sided tape that it comes with is no good.. I used velcro to mount it correctly and that seems to be working really well. Overall im very happy with it.

I really like this, does what it says. More group focused rather than Ch. But superb way to stay in touch with friends all over the world, so long as you have the internet. Remember if you want to use it on a actual Bluetooth Midland CB you currently need to buy a Bluetooth adapter for the actual CB radio Approx £50 in the UK

Parfait pour piloter l’application CBTalk de Midland depuis le bluetooth du smartphone.J’espère que la CB “renaîtra de ces cendres” grâce à ce nouveau système de transmission. En tout les cas, j’adore l’utiliser en campingcar !Point négatif:* Il manque un genre de spirale caoutchouc (comme un câble de mic) pour une attache de sécurité sur son support ou sur le tableau de bord.* La porté du bluetooth est très faible. (A peine 4m)* J’aurais bien aimé aussi avoir un petit écran LCD pour relayer quelques info de l’application..
