Challenging to put together
This is a good product but very tricky and time consuming to assemble. It took a lot of head scratching whilst looking at the instructions which were not always clear.
There was a tiny part missing and I contacted the manufacturer but sadly have got no where with getting a replacement. They asked for photos of everything, including the assembled item and the terain that it sits on!??? What that’s got to do with a missing part I’ve no idea. It can function without it as clearly I’ve to jump through many hoops to get it.
All that said, it’s a handy product and I look forward to home made compost when it’s ready.
I’d recommend the product but Lifetimes customer service is very poor.

Great value and very well organised instructions
Bought the composter about a month ago and managed to put most of it together on my own, help from my wife was also very useful.
Would recommend that you take some of the flat bits of cardboard out of the substantial packaging and lay on ground under your project, to avoid scratching your new composter as you move it around. The instructions and the way the nuts and bolts are laid out for the DIY compost builder is superb. Take your time to read the instructions carefully and if possible get someone else to read and assist, a must when you come to put the legs on. Since building it is beginning to brew away quite nicely. Enjoy

Great idea for a compost bin solution
This item replaced my old standard garden compost bin. Much easier to mix the contents and is certainly making better quality compost as it is being mixed more often. However, the kit does take around 2-3 hours to put together, needs 2 people and the correct tools. If you have not got an electric screwdriver and a multi socket / ratchet set then you will struggle to put this together! However, the finished product is well worth it!

Great dual composter
Great dual composter, however you have to be very patient when assembling it as joining some pieces can be very fiddly and frustrating, especially sliding the sides into each other. Advisable to have some decent sockets and spanners (an adjustable one certainly helps) as some of the bolts and nuts are best worked with two spanners/sockets. A second pair of hands is also a good ides especially when putting the two barrels together towards the end. There is an app you can download (see the manual for that) which is super helpful as it takes and talks you through step by step in the installation, I found it quite useful. So far have one barrel full of garden waste and seems to be doing a good job, will see the final product hopefully soon. Lid is solid and secure and being able to rotate the barrels is great for aeration. Overall pleased with product.

Looks great in the garden
I brought this a week ago. looks great in the garden. Time will tell if it saves me money on compost, but a great size and should save me a lot of time and effort carrying heavy and expensive bags back from the local garden centre.

Excellent product
Excellent build quality, very strong and easy to use. Assembly instructions were very good and easy to follow, only tricky bit was sliding the connection bars in, although once you get the angle right it went in easily enough, you will need a rubber hammer or something to that effect to nudge them into position.

Can be assembled by one but two people is better. Corner joints not easy to fit, the older ones look to be easier. Need to follow instructions as at the end the words do not mention what the pictures show, easy to realise what to do though.
Looks like it will last a long time, good materials.

Very tidy
Purchased a month ago, great design it is challenge to build up but has good instructions. The bin seems to be working but time will tell, I like that it’s off the ground and clean the rotation seems to be working slightly concerned that it has no centre leg, there’s a lot of weight in both bins when full. Delivery excellent, and usual thinkassemble.co.uk quality item.

This is a quality item, assembly is not for the faint hearted but with patience you can get there. I have not filled it up yet so cannot comment on the composting performance but fingers crossed.

Works great and easy to load.
Sturdy and solid. A little tricky to construct but not beyond most people. Becomes heavy to rotate if too full so only load it half way. I mounted ours on plinths so i can get the wheelbarrow under for emptying. Great bit of kit, keeps the compost off the ground and away from pesky rodents.

Not easy to put together but I managed to complete it in just more than half a day. I’m very pleased with the finished compost maker and looking forward to using it in the coming months, and hopefully lots of compost.

Very smelly
Spent quite some time looking at reviews for this and all seemed positive however the jury’s still out as far as we are concerned. They allow a great deal of rain water in which we are collecting as leachate which is very odorous. We may try to sell these on!!
