Crafted with premium, shock-absorbing rubber slats and high-grade bearings, it operates with a near-silent glide, ensuring your workout never disturbs the household. With no power cables and a stunning aesthetic featuring natural real wood accents, the CURV is not just a piece of equipment; it is a sustainable, maintenance-free investment in your lifelong health and performance.

    Cumbersome Treadmill
This treadmill should come with a warning for size! The equipment is huge and extremely heavy. If you live in an upstairs apartment, I would strongly advise against purchasing this. The description about it being light to move, and quiet is ludicrous. It is awkward to manoeuvre and also very noisy during use. The delivery men almost returned it as they couldn’t get past my stairs, and both men struggled with the weight of the treadmill!
When I initially saw the box it came in, I thought they were delivering an American fridge! As a young lady who lives alone, I had to make a tough decision whether or not to cancel the delivery but ultimately decided last minute to keep it as the delivery men just wanted to dump it and leave since they couldn’t get it past the stairs. They ended up leaving it at the bottom of my stairs blocking any exit or entry. I had to carefully unbox the treadmill and remove all packing, before a neighbour came and assisted in lifting it up the stairs. The treadmill is solid and well built, but the console is the worst I’ve used in the sense that whatever function you choose, it switches itself off after 5mins! I’ve tried everything and have given up using it as luckily I have an Apple Watch. In hindsight had I known what I know now, I wouldn’t have purchased it.

Good but makes a squeaking noise during exercise
Feels great while running on the treadmill—stable and robust. However, it makes a squeaking noise during exercise.

  3. GuyWithTreadmill

    Sturdy and competitively priced
The treadmill is super stable. I was suspicious initially cause it’s so much cheaper than something like the walkolution, but the bearings seem high quality metal and construction seems sturdy, although It did need a bit of lubrication to get rid of some squeak and it is larger than a walking one like walkolution (maybe that one would not have required the manual lubrication).I also still managed to fit this under a standing desk, and got 90% of the functionality for 1/4 of the cost, hence the 5 stars even given the manual maintenance step. Wish the documentation on the website was a bit more detailed in terms of what can be used to lubricate it or the exact dimensions at different points. Gymkit support did answer my queries when I emailed them though so was alright. Maybe the biggest difference that could explain the price is the short 1 year warranty? Happy enough so far to not be too concerned about that.

    Family treadmill
I’ve had the Gymkit Curve Manual Treadmill from thinkassemble.co.uk for about three months now, and already I feel well‑qualified to reflect on its design and performance.

Ordering and delivery were impressively straightforward. thinkassemble.co.uk offered a generous discount, and the checkout process couldn’t have been simpler. Delivery felt seamless—my unit arrived nicely packaged, and thinkassemble.co.uk’s communication throughout struck just the right balance of professionalism and warmth.

The base unit is hefty, but here’s the upside: it arrived fully assembled, so there was no wrestling with awkward boxes or parts. The stand, by contrast, required minimal assembly—a few screws and some alignment—and was surprisingly quick and easy to put together.

The treadmill excels in its compactness: it’s small and quite portable, in the sense that I can maneuver it around my attic with some effort. That said, it is undeniably very heavy, so it’s not something you’d lift without a bit of help. Currently, it lives in our attic and sees regular use—convenient and out of the way, but always ready when I am. No wires, no power supply—just me and the curved running surface.

Running on it took a bit of getting used to, especially coming from a conventional motorized treadmill. But within minutes, the learning curve flattened out, and I found it easy to master the mechanics and rhythm of use.

Yes, some treadmills at the gym are longer—that’s a fair point if you’re after stride length or space to stretch out. However, if compact space is your priority, this is absolutely the one to go for. It’s efficient with space, intuitive to use, simple to assemble, and—most importantly—sturdy and reliable after months of daily use.

Highly recommended for anyone with limited room but high ambitions for quality home workouts.!
