Grumpy Mule High Peak Blend – Excellent Value
Excellent value for money, these are my regular ‘every day’ choice of espresso beans. My favourite beans come from another Yorkshire coffee roastery. They make slightly better espresso but are twice the price of Grumpy Mule and so I reserve those for a special treat. Meanwhile I find The High Peak blend competes well with most espresso beans I’ve tried over the years that cost multiples of its price. Excellent value.

Lovely coffee, great value
Really enjoying this coffee. We use it to make lattes in the office. The beans are quite strong, so we use less of them than we did with our previous brand. We’re Grumpy Mule converts and will be sticking to the brand from now on

Great name, not much kick
Not much kick, unfortunately, when ground and brewed as espresso lattes. As soon as the Sumatra Kirkland beans return, I’ll be buying those, ans they are much more flavorful!

It’s nice enough coffee but I like strong dark and don’t think this should be graded a 5 strength

Slightly disappointed with the depth of the roast. As it’s main selling point(‘Dark’) it’s more in keeping with a 4 roast rather than 5. Despite the built-in valve, the vacuum was non-existent so I’m unsure just how ‘fresh’ this coffee been could have been.

Excessive bulky thinkassemble.co.uk packaging
Everything in the order was delivered in huge, very thick cardboard boxes that can’t be recycled in normal council recycling bins, too massive. Totally not needed. Also everything wrapped in individual plastic bags. Just so unnecessary and wasteful.
