I bought the red Groove-E 3 years ago and have been really happy with it. The volume was higher than I ever needed, the tone was OK for just listening to my CDs while I showered and dressed and the price was great. I chose the red to add accent to my bedroom colour and it was just perfect. The radio was excellent. All in all, I loved my Groove-E – – – until the weekend. I pressed Play on my newly home-made compilation CD. The display lit up with NO. I thought it must be CD so tried with another CD. Same thing. Another? Same thing. Although the radio still works perfectly, I had to buy another player as I listen to my CDs a lot but not the radio.The reason I didn’t get another Groove-E was that previous players I owned had a Shuffle mode which I really missed with the Groove-E. The new purchase says it has Shuffle so I’ll let you know how I like it.

Cheap but great quality I love it and it’s lasted almost 2 years now. The sound is good for what the player is, it’s very light weight as well so easily transported.

For the price, this was perfect for my needs. I wanted a new CD player after my old, trusty portable finally died. All I wanted was something which could play CD’s and could connect to my soundbar via a cable when needed. This did the job perfectly. The CD playback is perfect, I’ve knocked it a couple of times but didn’t notice any skipping, the headphone out connection links to my soundbars’ input and works perfectly, no noticeable pops or crackles during playback (had this on my old one sometimes). I haven’t used the radio, but I didn’t buy it for that so won’t comment.I did buy this as used like new and apart from a couple of knicks on the box, I wouldn’t have known. All original packaging, cables, instructions, looked like it was fresh from the factory.

The CD player isn’t working properly. I have many CDs, and with all of them, the player either stops and displays “ERR” or “No.” I have to switch it off, leave it for a while, and then try again. Sometimes it recognizes a CD, but other times it doesn’t recognize the same one at all. This happens with every single CD. When it does work, it plays fine but after a while, it stops again and won’t start no matter what I do.
