A good quality dog toy by a top manufacturer which you could give on his birthday or at Christmas. The hippo has a smart red ribbon trimmed with gold round his neck with a gift label. I personally don’t particularly like the lilac colour but dogs can’t see most colours so it doesn’t matter. I would never have known the toy was of a hippo. I think it looks more like a dog! It is lovely and soft and dogs can easily carry it round by the back legs. The squeaker works well and is well placed in a back leg. . Although you may think it could b a child’s toy there is a warning to say it is definitely not a child’s toy. I would give this toy to a medium sized dog like a spaniel and would take the decorative ribbon off before the dog plays with it. It is not indestructible so bear this in mind when purchasing A nice well made toy at a good price and should be a hit

This dog toy is very soft and cute. The hippo shape looks fun and festive. My dog enjoys chewing it and carrying it around. The material feels gentle on teeth and gums. It is a nice toy for Christmas time and daily play. Good quality and good value.

Good Boy make a great range of dog toys at really reasonable prices. I wouldn’t say they’re the most durable toys, but I do like to change out my dog’s toys monthly anyway, both to keep him stimulated and for hygiene, so for me, the price-versus-resilience equation evens out.This hippo was surprisingly big when it arrived, and although the fabric is a bit on the delicate side it’s well sewn together, with a lot of textures and sticking-out bits that every dog loves. My dog was excited the moment he saw it. I didn’t even have to throw the thing, he knew it was his and clearly felt the day was looking up!You do have to keep an eye on your dog with any of this kind of toy, not just this brand, as soft toys by their nature are very chewable—that’s why dogs love them. I did take the bow off before I gave it to him, as that would last minutes, but my small-to-mid-sized dog (mini schnauzer) had still chewed the ears off this within ten minutes (I took them off him, as he never swallows any bits, he just gets them off, spits them out, and moves on!), but having given him a host of similar toys I know that the main body of this will withstand a lot more. On the plus side, this company never uses plastic eyes or any solid items that could be swallowed.In all then, I’d say that for a non-chewer or for a smaller dog, this is a great toy. It’s big and its light, and it’s the perfect shape to shake, with sticky-out bits that fly around to add to the doggo-fun. It’s not the most robust of toys, but that’s reflected in the price, and I’m sure any dog would love it.

No good if your dog likes to rip apart cuddly toys as it’s not sturdy and chew proof. But, if your dog likes to walk round with them in his mouth, fetch them, or just cuddle them, then this is a wonderful toy for them. Sadly the squeaker doesn’t work in mine (maybe that could be considered a good thing).

It’s quite decently-sized and it’s incredibly soft and plush. It’s gone down a treat with my Malamute and Labrador and they haven’t destroyed it yet… I have no idea how long that will last though because this isn’t a rugged toy, it’s more akin to a normal teddy you’d buy for a child. If it wasn’t for the dog squeaker inside you could probably get away with giving this as a gift to a child.This is definitely a snuggle toy rather than a rag-about toy, so I’m still quite nervous on how long it will last… but for now, the dogs love it and it hasn’t left their side. Well, except for when one is stealing it off the other, that is.It’s good quality, cute and super soft – but maybe steer clear of this one if your dog enjoys chewing and ripping apart their toys.
